Why doesn't the Islamic majority in the United Nation condemn the thousands of terrorist acts perpetrated by those of their faith? Because Muslims cannot judge other Muslims. Only Allah can judge them.
Yet when it comes to judging the infidel, there are no holds barred. They can set off bombs in buses and in markets, burn churches because of cartoons, sentence converts to death and thousands of other acts around the world--all with impunity.
So if Islam chose today to standup and condemn every single act of terror and violence committed in the name of Allah, you would see this attitude change overnight.
To the first post above, there is merit in what you say. However, the UN is silent, and if they spoke up and made it policy to condemn every act of daily terrorism, it would become newsworthy. Christians condemn EVERY act of violence and hatred perpetrated in the name of Jesus. And yes, that is not news worthy.

Seriously, isn't once enough? Is it my fault you didn't hear or don't remember?
Fatwa against terrorism: http://www.fiqhcouncil.org/Default.aspx?tabid=79
I am only afraid of God swt, I don't live my life in fear. I have taken a stand. I don't know any terrorists, what else do you want me to do?
I have gotten to the point where I don't care if people want to believe it or not, it's been 6 YEARS PEOPLE -- 6, and our condemnation has been all over the place ever since then, granted I will admit they don't repeat the stuff on the news the way they do the bad things. Maybe ask your local news to cut it's time slot for the ASPCA or any other cute and fluffy newstory and give it to Muslims so we can speak out every week, what do you think????????
Apparently some stupid stories get put on the news and are more "newsworthy" than the truth!

When was the last time you sat down and spoke with Muslims? If you read the questions here enough, you will see several a day that ask why Christians think they are all like the terrorists. They then go on to condemn their actions and say that they aren't following Islam.
I think most Muslims in the US don't like terrorism and condemn it, but aren't heard, because it isn't news worthy.
Look at the Westboro Baptist Church. They are only around 30 people claiming that God is actively destroying the USA because he hates Gays. CRAZY people, yet they get a bunch of press, and you rarely see Christians on TV proclaiming them anti biblical. That is because it is boring, and more people will watch the Gay bashers on the news.
The same applies to Muslims in the US.

I love this myth.
Comfortable overweight westerners hear on Fox News that good Muslims don't speak out; if the news says they don't, then it must be true.
And yet if you read transcripts and statements from Islamic governments, editorials in papers like the Lebanese Star, and even ordinary people writing on websites such as these, you hear Muslims say again and again, "terrorism is bad," "terrorism is evil," "Bin Laden is unfaithful to Islam", "Al Qaeda is evil."
But because our news say they don't say these things it must be true. Even though they are the ones taking real risks to say differently, while we snarf down the pork rinds, watch football and criticize them from the couch.

Islam means "submission," thus the average, good Muslim is humble and not particularly vocal - just like most Christians do not rant and rave like so many fundies do.
Unfortunately, we could use more rank-and-file monotheists speaking up. THe silence of both empowers the nuts in both camps, who take their silence for acquiescence.

I think they are pretty active in speaking out. The problem is that other people aren't always listening!
There have been many courageous Muslims making media rounds, organizing events, and participating in interfaith dialogue. On a personal level, I've known Muslims that are among the most peaceful, humble, and giving people I've ever met. Hey, my lab partner for biology in fall of 2001 was Muslim national of Afganistan . . . think he was justifiably concerned about the reactions of his classmates? But he earned all of our affection by his amazing personality and empathy.
And no, I'm not Muslim or interested in converting to Islam. I'm Jewish.

you got the wrong information's. never trust to the rumors from the world news. they get them from the wrong sources.if i want to know about your kindness, i wouldn't ask it from your enemies. because he wont tell the truth. every religions ask to make good things. speak more or not, not coming from what religious you are. it is from yourself, from your background. i never looks for someones fault, but i try to search on my own. so that i can change to be better. no body is perfect.

They are slaves. They will not answer beyond what their master deems sufficient to quel curiosity.
Their children and friends die at the hands of their "brothers" with no outcry because their masters love them so much.
