As-salaam aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
for all of you who are trying to say that woman must keep her hair long, or that she cannot cut her hair, please provide daleel.
I have not found anywhere that cutting the hair is haram.
for instance, this hadith:
It was narrated in Saheeh Muslim that Abu Salamah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmaan said: “The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to cut their hair until it came just below their ears.” (al-Hayd, 320)
there is a difference of opinion over whether or not women are allowed to shave there hair, however.
here is a fatwa on the opinion that there is no prohibition for a woman to shave her hair:

Question: Is it permissible in Islamic Law for a woman to shave her head?
Answered by Sheikh Sulaymân al-`Îsâ, professor at al-Imâm University in Riyadh
There is a hadîth related in Sunan al-Tirmidhî and Sunan al-Nasâ’î from `Alî prohibiting women from shaving their heads. However, it is a weak hadîth. In fact, al-Tirmidhî himself said that this hadîth is defective. There is another hadîth related by al-Khalâl that the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade women from shaving their heads except in cases where they are suffering from some ailment of the scalp. This hadîth is also not authentic.
Nevertheless, most scholars hold the opinion that it is disliked for a woman to shave her head unnecessarily. Indeed, in most societies, shaving the head is unknown for women and only known for men. In such circumstances, it will be unlawful for her to shave her head, since it is unlawful in Islam for women to dress in a manner that resembles men.
And Allah knows best.

and here is an excerpt of a fatwa on cutting the hair short, and this fatwa holds the opinion that shaving the hair is haram:
***********************
excerpt of fatwa from:
http://islamqa.com/index.php?ref=88232&ln=eng&txt=woman%20cut%20hair
The fact that it is permissible for a woman to cut her hair short is indicated by the report narrated by Muslim (320) from Abu Salamah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmaan who said: The wives of the Prophet (S) used to cut their hair so that it came down just past their ears.
al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Perhaps the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did that after the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), because they stopped adorning themselves and they had no need to grow their hair long, so they reduced the amount of effort required to take care of their hair. What al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad said about them doing that after his death and not during his lifetime was also said by others and it is sound. No one should think that they did that during his lifetime. This indicates that it is permissible for women to cut their hair, and Allaah knows best. End quote.
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: We do not know of anything wrong with women cutting their hair. What is forbidden is shaving the head. You are not allowed to shave your head, but if you cut it to make it shorter or reduce its volume, we do not know of anything wrong with that. But that should be done in a good way that will be pleasing to you and your husband, and you can agree with him on something that will not be similar to the hairstyle of kaafir women because leaving it long will entail a lot of work to wash it and comb it. If the hair is thick and the woman cuts some of it to make it shorter and reduce its volume, there is nothing wrong with that. If she cuts some of it for purposes of beautification to make it pleasing to her and her husband, there is nothing wrong with that. But shaving it altogether is not permissible except in cases of sickness. And Allaah is the source of strength. End quote from Fataawa al-Mar’ah al-Muslimah (2/515)....
And Allaah knows best.
Islam Q&A
*************
here is another fatwa that says cutting hair is not haraam:
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it permissible for a woman to have her hair shortened? Jazakum Allah khayran.
Answer
Wa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Dear questioner, we are very pleased for the great confidence you repose in us and we really commend your apparent interest in having a better understanding of the teachings of Islam and the rulings of this great religion in all matters. In fact, Islam is a religion that encompasses all aspects of life and secures guidance and light for all mankind.
Women often opt for short hair because of the way it frames the face. Short hairstyles are sometimes a form of beautification for most women.
Given this, according to Islam, there is nothing wrong in women having their hair shortened as long as it is done for the sake of beautifying themselves and nothing more. This is quite different from shaving head, which is completely forbidden for women. If a woman has her hair cropped with the intention of looking masculine, then it is forbidden because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said: "May Allah's Curse be inflicted upon women who imitate men and vice versa." (Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
In this regard, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and an Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states:
A woman can shorten her hair provided she avoids a hairstyle peculiar to men. The Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) has cursed men who copy women and women who copy men. This applies to hairstyle and appearance. So long as she avoids this, she is permitted to cut her hair. There is no prohibition in the sources. We should remember that originally the rule is permission; prohibition is only an exception.
However, we must add a word of caution. A Muslim woman is required to cover her head and not expose it except to her husband or her mahram (non-marriageable relative).

Shedding more light on this issue, we'd cite the following Fatwa:
Islamic Law differentiates between 'shaving' and 'shortening' one's hair. Shaving hair (i.e., cutting it by a sharp object such as a razor blade or skin-close clippers, etc.) is forbidden for women unless there is a justifiable reason such as when the woman needs an operation on her head or has to undergo special treatment on her scalp. But shortening her hair is allowed if she desires to do so. The only thing is that when women shorten their hair, they should not be doing this to imitate men. Therefore, the intention is important behind the act.
********************
it is a cultural thing where people make women keep their hair long.
we CANNOT use our culture and make something haram or halal if it goes against Islam.

Brush your hair everyday for two minutes. Also it your hair could be falling out due to the products you use. Try to find an all natural shampoo and conditioner from the health food store. Also no you are not being punished, Muslim women can cut their hair, I just don't think they can shave their heads?

A Muslimah is supposed to keep her hair long, it is a beautiful adornment which will be very pleasing to your husband when you get married. I have hair down to my hips and here is how I take care of it. When I wash it, I wash at night and I let it dry naturally, not even bothering to brush it out that night. I then sleep on a towel so my hair can dry overnight. Then I brush through with a combination hard/soft bristle brush (Such as the Metro Spornette found at beauty supply stores). Also, wearing a stocking cap under your hijab and putting your hair in a bun in the stocking cap will help keep your hair neat and clean during the day so you don't have to suffer with the snarls in your hair and it just looks like you are wearing a neat bun under your hijab. Don't worry about hairstyles though, fancy hairstyles break your hair when you use pins and hairspray and tease your hair, you're better off keeping your hair healthy and protected. About the hair loss, only Allah (swt) can tell you if that was His will, but remember not to get caught up with trends, modesty is more beautiful than any trendy haircut!

My dear Sister, Well you can do anything with your hairs, there are no restrictions in Islam, You are losing your hair because you are not properly treating them, and it is because of some disease, which has biological evidence, It has nothing to do with Cutting off your hair, Allah won't punish you, Remember He is Ghafoor and Rahim. If you want to make your hair stylish, Yes you can, Islam has no such restrictions.

Why are you unable to type "MY"? It has the exact same amount of letters as "MA", so you're not saving yourself any time by altering the spelling. You just look foolish. I simply couldn't read all of your gibberish because the overuse of MA drove me too insane.

Allah does not punish you while you are alive. All the punishments you will receive (if you receive any) is when you die. Any bad things that happen in your life is not a punishment from God, but a test. It is a test to see if you will handle the situation in a halal way.
