never. but he should know when to decrease the weight lifted before he hurts himself. recovering from injuries gets harder as we age.
I know one fellow at the gym who around 85. He doesn't lift much but it keep him healthy. And it is a good way for him to socialize. And boy does he ever. Sometimes it's hard to stop him from talking.

There should be no problems with doing weights the rest of your life, depending on the amount of weight. I only think that it could be beneficial if you don't use too heavy weights. Training the right way can improve flexibility, blood circulaton etc.

I think as long as you feel good continue forever. Of course as you get older you may not be able to lift as much but can still lift. Weight lifting is the best for the bones as you get older for men and women. Keep on trucking!!!!

not as long as he can safely do it, in my opinion. i mean if he is like so old he risks hurting himself, then certainly dont hurt yourself. the thing is resistance training has been proven to help prevent your body from deteriorating as quickly. it builds bone density, improves strength, flexibility and cardio health. there is no given age to stop.
