Do they offend your moral code in some way? Does it make you feel powerful? Do you think that people might actually see that a non-christian might have a good point? Are you afraid that people might question your beliefs?

*I know it's christians that are doing this because of the hate mail.

Because it challenges their support beams that is religion.

Once that happens, they become angered as such a precious commodity as lying to yourself to make life seem to have a point is indeed satisfying.

I dont mean to offend anyone, but thats why it occurs, that and oppressive speech.

The few times that I have done this, it was done because Christ is my Lord, and my Savior, and I love Him. When I see some of you people asking questions that are perverted, such as equating Jesus with being gay, or doing a sex act for them, I will report it every single time.

Aside from this type of blasphemy, I could care less what you ask. Atheism does not bother me. I believe that you cannot talk to a person about God, unless they want to know about God. If they do not want to know about God, then you are casting pearls before swine. Islam does not bother me. Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons do not bother me. Cult doctrines get exposed through the truth in God's word.

Only when people blaspheme Christ, do I report them. And with a quickness. After all, my account has been suspended in the past for speaking out against Islam, terrorism, and homosexuals. Why should it be any different for you? This is a public forum. You either play by their rules, or you accept the consequences. Have a better day.

I'm a Christian who isn't doing the reporting, and I actually agree with you that a ton of the Christians on here are doing a ton of the reporting - I've received hate email from fellow Christians as well.

I don't think it's just Christians but I do agree that they are a large part of the problem. In fact, I think the Troll Patrol is probably made up of people who are also members of the Westboro Church - oh I mean HATE group.

Okay...well, I'm Christian. I've only reported a question when they use four-letter words (a lot of them) or say something blatantly racist.

Never when someone has a different opinion than mine.

There's no value in this place if people merely report questions because they don't like it.

And if you're receiving hate mail, let Yahoo know and set them up to be blocked.

Good luck

It is the same reason why others do it. As they are offended or angry at the person's question that was posted.

As for "knowing" it is Christians you can't honestly base this on some email that you personally received. That is such a short group to prove this point compared to the amount of people posting in this area.

Why do those who oppose faith in Jesus tell lies and slam those who believe?

What makes you think that you can put all"Christians" in the same group why not ask them individually why they believe like they do?

I have found all kinds of different beliefs by asking individuals their beliefs and not grouping all as one sentence.

Have you been hurt by someone who said they were a "Christian" and so you feel it is right to blame all for the same offense?

Do you know the story of the woman caught in Adultery that was brought to Jesus and they were by law going to stone her ?

When they inquired of the Savior he said " You who are with out sin cast the first stone !"

And to the woman after all had left he spoke as the only one who could have and by law should have stoned her spoke " Where are your accusers ? neither do I condem you go and sin no more."

I'm a Christian, and I have answered MANY skeptics and scoffers, but I have never reported questions I don't like.

Are you overgeneralizing? Or are you just being judgemental?

I'm sad that you received such hate mail from anybody, but I must say this - if they were Christians, they would send you "love" mail not "hate" mail, because the Bible says that God is Love.

As long as a person can convey their thoughts calmly, intelligently, and respectfully there is no reason to report them. But I promise you that if I see vulgar, degrading and any other kind of posting that breaks the rules Yahoo has established for ALL participants, I will report it.
Either play be the rules, or get off the board!
BTW your free to report this if you want.

One can question christianity or any belief system, even atheism, with respect or with disdain. When a question is asked in a disdainful tone, a more rabid response can be expected. And this is true of all sides in this on-going debate.

Then ask those that are sending you the hate mail.
Listen, I have never been able to figure out why some questions/answers get deleted. I've had a few myself, mainly from the Politics section.
