P.C. has been forced on us by a nation of wusses who are just "so afraid" of offending anyone and everyone...who, by the way, were so not offended prior. I refuse to do the P.C. thing. Let me also add that fighting for our freedom is inherent to our survival. This country didn't come by its freedoms by making nice with the evil in the world. And yes folks, there are evil people out there who don't want to chat with you, they only want to kill you because you exist. And finally if it wasn't for conservatives we wouldn't have the great military fighting force we have now. God bless you.

Because unfortunately what you are fighting for is the ability for people to disagree--ie;American/Western freedoms. Even if you think its stupid-and we all hear alot of "stupid" now days. I'm the wife of a former Marine (an immigrant turned American-South African English) he gave 10 years to his new country and his Swat/Reserve special Forces brother gave his life-his family lost EVERYTHING in Rhodesia when the revolution in the 80's happened and were almost killed- they get what they have and what it takes to keep it. We are in very precarious times and most people take things for granted. Life isn't always jam and tea but war sucks and is stupid-you just can't dance your way through either. We are all here together but those being raised with embedded ideas and small education about the world can have very tight and limited opinions-they are the ones that scare me.
As I was watching the news the other night I was thinking how much we could change the world by still being militarily strong but pressing medical and educational and market help through the middle east-inter play would change the world. We waste so many billions and there are so many children losing out-my son is now 20 and I see all the soldiers over there in him. My heart aches for their families. He just joined Americorps for a year and is taking a college break-I'm glad he's not on the sands but would do it if he had to. GOOD LUCK! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU! An American Mom.....

Dawn B. is SO right on. Kudos, Dawn. We wouldn't want to step on anybody's toes now, would we? Don't bother to think for yourself, there are others who will do it for you. And let's throw Freedom of Speech out the window while we're at it. Why did we bother to have an American Revolution anyway when we give up what we fought for so easily?

no, no, and no. if you look inside your heart you will see that these are excuse to justify your actions. I can talk on yahoo answers anywhere in the world, even behind the great firewall of china. Most people talking about how free and great america is have never been to another country.

being "politically correct" doesn't mean you're always "correct"
being political is just that, "POLITICAL" and being correct is YOUR (them) opinions.
and sometimes you have to fight for both
