For example, sometimes I'm very serious in my line of questioning. Sometimes I like to make others laugh. What's wrong with that. I was accused of thinking that I'm a star because another person didn't agree with my questions. What's your opinion Christians?

Hiya Bro.

It is very much like being in the Marine Corps. The grunts will say that the aviation mechanics are not real Marines and likewise the engineers will say the cooks are not real Marines. Yet they are all in the same body. It's just like that with us. We all serve the same Lord. We are also flesh and egotistical. Hopefully we will grow and change as the Holy Spirit does his work in us.

May the Lord richly bless you.

So, are you down in the dumps over it? Well, you've been in worse situations and you will be again, but allow me please to share something of which you're not aware. A few weeks ago, I took issue with you regarding my perception that you were bashing the president. You even posted a question regarding the incident wondering if you should apologize. Remember? Through that exchange with you I made a commitment to myself that I would no longer respond to questions in a negative manner (as I had to yours about the president). If I couldn't say anything that I thought was constructive, I wouldn't' say anything. With maybe an exception or two, I have rigidly stuck to that commitment. During the few weeks following, my "best answer" percentage went from 4 to 6%! I attribute that to you. Yeah, you're a star. Now, go celebrate!!

I believe that the Christian community has forgotten the truth of how we are allowed be amongst each other. The truth is sir, I know you are a star, cause I know wher your heart is. You are indeed a very humble, and thought provoking Christian.

I believe that you and I both could be accused of fulfilling the admonition of the writer of Hebrews to "provoke one another to love and good deeds".

I am accused of being judgemental as well, and when it comes to "an appearance or evil" a "suggestive icon or avatar" a "message that is not in line with the fundamental doctrine of truth, "such a tollerance for sin in the church" I take a stand. Yes we are sinners, we are gonna blow it from time to time, but we a Christians are called to police ourselves within the church. To discuss what could be az problem, and to determine if it is one of the "liberty" freely given to all Christians... (some will have a drink or wine on occasion while some won't, some like the new contemporary sound in Christian music while others think it is of the devil and stand firm on the old hymns or antiquity. Some dress in modesty and some dress a bit too casual etc...)... or one of actual sin in the church.

I am very strict with immorality and what could be missread as imoral behaivior, swearing and coarse jesting (dirty jokes) this has been a sinfull activity of mine in the past and as I have been delivered from this activity by sanctification in Jesus I try to be loving and supportive while at the same time calling sin what it is, and letting "Christians" know about it.

I will not stand and judge the world and unbelievers unless they try to bring their lifestyle into my fellowship and say "you have to accept me and my lifestyle caust thats what I believe and you have to support it bla bla bla....

Paul said in 1 Cor 5 " a little leven will leven the whole lump of dough. Clean out that old dough and remove every speck of leven so that the dough remains holy and set apart (my quick paraphrase of course) Paul was teaching about some immoral behaivior inside the church that been reported to him. He sais to the elders of that church; "Alhough I'm not there and I havent been involved with this situation and the person directly, I have in the spirit Judged him and have prayed that God would deliver him to satin (for punishment) that he flesh may be saved in the last days" That is the most powerful statement of judgement I believe I have ever read in the scripture (next to Peters dealings with Annias and Saphira).

Ok so I went of on a rant Brother, but this is a pet pieve for me and mostly for the Holy Spisir that we don't school each other these days, on conduct becomming of Christs little ones. The world wants to come into our fellowships and water us down with tollerance, and cause the HS to withdraw from us leaving us powerless as a body.

(do you believe I'm passionate about this subject) You keep it up son and don't let the "nay sayers" get you down.

God Bless

Same here!
I don't know. A sense of humor is one of the greatest gifts we have, and to be able to express it in a way that makes others laugh is a valuable trait I look for in a friend.
I was told, by a fellow Christian, that I only draw attention to myself when I say funny stuff and that I should stay silent! I should only speak to glorify God only.
I've always been able to make people laugh and smile, and it's because of that, that many have told me that I have a beautiful spirit.
I think my less serious side is my gift of witnessing. I honestly do. People see me living life, and having fun. I break the 'mold' of the stuffy Christian and their holier than thou attitude.

You better not lose that laughter!
Don't let someone else steal your joy!

It ability I ought to attempt my terrific to appreciate; because of the fact i will choose no longer something i do no longer understand. sometimes I try this properly and this is a triumph for the two one persons. sometimes I try this properly and this is something I choose i did no longer see. sometimes I try this poorly and this is a humorous 'certainty'. sometimes I try this poorly and make an @ss of myself. yet i'm continually keen to contemplate an allure. this is the comparable technique I difficulty myself to - and attempt to choose the judgment surpassed on me besides. Going to heaven or hell does not relax interior of my judgment no rely what I choose for extra or less something for others - i'm no longer even specific that it concerns how I choose myself. it somewhat is God's selection. MY judgments I question - I believe God's judgments.

My thoughts are that Christians should not stand in judgement for or of anyone about anything. Listen, be supportive, care, laugh, love, but do not judge. If someone offends you, forgive them and move on. No need to hurt anyone elses feelings by making harsh comments.

Many people throughout history have had some form of persecution for their religion. It's a way to test faith and learn forgiveness.

Peace on earth and love to man kind!

May God Bless all who respond in this forum and keep you in His Mercy. In the Name of Jesus Christ, My Lord, I pray.

Our humanity is the biggest instigator of conflict with our spirit. Oh, this flesh, this "dead man" we drag around on our backs, creates more chaos than we realize. And that is why I need the Holy Spirit indwelling at the seat of my soul, to overcome the stubborn, rebellious, jealous, judgmental nature of my flesh, so that the Holy Spirit can lead my behavior and actions in line to do His will. The Holy Spirit also allows me to fend off potential offenses and false accusations, that may lead my flesh to react in unChristlike ways. Christ wanted us to "offer the other cheek" ~ and I know I cannot do this without the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus for Calvary!

People can be "Haters"!
People see that you are popular and have many contacts and they hate. Simple.
And you know as well as I do that just because some say they're a Christian and their actions demonstrate differently are the first ones to spout out "judgments".
Just stay the example of the wonderful person you are and let the "haters" just hate.

I thinks it's refreshing when a Christian has a sense of humor and can make others laugh. I think being critical and uptight is such a bad witness to unbelievers. That's not being like Jesus. I once heard a preacher describe this bad attitude as being "spiritually constipated!"

To an outsider, Christianity often seems like a VERY high stress religion. You guys constantly infight and judge and critique each other.

How can you have joy in your worship and total concentration on your relationship with your Creator when you have to be constantly on the defensive and minding your Ps and Qs for fear of what other Christians might say about you?
