And will the Troll Patrol be emboldened by this fact?

P.S. It's not on ALL questions yet, but It's on many and I'm betting it's getting phased in.

Apparently the report-fest is due to INCREASE rather than decrease. People being unjustly banned from the boards is going to be on an ever-increasing rise as the flag button has been idiot-proofed so the christians can find it more easily.

Apparently the Y!A staff all had a collective lobotomy...

Two benefits for yahoo:

1. Deletions mean they don't have to store as many questions and answers permanently. This means they use less resources.

2. There will be less incentive for regulars to remain "regular". More suspensions will probably discourage people to remain here for long(specially after they get deleted). Again, the less users accumulate answers and questions, the less resources yahoo will require.

Don't be surprised if we see a report button that takes up 1/4 of the screen sometime in the future.

Beano has a point. No offense, not on his head. On one hand this supposed to be an open forum to express your opinion, on the other the arbiters(Yahoo) encourage tattle tales. They must beleive in maintaining interest through dynamic tension. If they persist in this asinine formula they'll lose their best contributors, eventually. When that happens (and it looks like it won't be long) all you'll see here is a sign (Gone Fishin'."

I don't know why it's so massive!!! Maybe they were making it in the image of your.....bunny suit?

Anyway, take a look at my badge baby - it's finally R&S again and not that dorky Video and Online Games!!!!! I feel whole again.

O nevermind. When I look at my profile it's R&S again, when I hover over it here, it's still the dork badge.

Im not sure, i had the same problem myself. It seems that when you create a topic that one single person doesnt agree with yahoo simply deletes to save time.

Otherwise they would have to debate it or send out messages explaining why it cannot occur.

I just got on and saw that. It sure will make it easier, but I don't know that that is necessarily a good thing. I mean, now people actually know you can do it. lol. before, you had to figure out what the little flaggy thingy meant, now it tells you. *sigh*

Has anyone noticed how the definition has changed from report "abuse" to report "it"

They really don't care what is reported anymore.

It started showing up last night off and on. Did you know they're going to make it red and add the phrase "Press here-we love tattletales" under it?

OK! I'm kidding! LOL
