i asked a nun this in grade school and she splashed me with holy water yelled at me and sent me home for blasphemy i was only six at the time

no i got yelled at a bit but my dad told my mom to lay off a bit (hes not religious)

Sure, except that neither is real. It's makes a lot more sense than the typical Christian view given God's violence and behavior. I sometimes ask this to stir up trouble and create doubt.

Well, that's a problem, isn't it?
All I can tell you is that when I was involved in a lifestyle of drugs, booze, cigs, etc (I would mix LSD with speed, LSD with downers, LSD with both speed AND downers, and booze on top of it all, and I chain-smoked camels non-filtered cigarettes!)
But when somebody prayed for me, the Lord answered, and I "met" Jesus at that time, and He delivered me from all that stuff.
He not only delivered from the desire for these drugs, He also set me free from the after affects.
Having met Jesus, I can tell you that He is Love. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to and relies on) Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. When God sent His Son into the world, it wasn't to condemn the world, but to save it. Whoever believes in (puts their trust in) the Son shall not be condemned. Whoever does NOT believe in the Son is condemned already."
I'm really sorry that happened to you. I pray that you get over the nonsense of what that nun did to you, and you discover the REAL Jesus.
