The soles of your feet generally speaking are relatively soft since you likely wear shoes most of the time. People that walk around barefoot all the time, like people in a tribal culture that normally don't wear shoes, will develop calluses on their feet. Calluses are the body's response to prolonged mechanical damage or pressure. This is why you see them on the hands of people that play stringed instruments like guitars, violins, etc, and on the feet of people that walk barefoot a lot. It typically takes a while for calluses to develop though.

I've attached and article to teach you more. I hope this helps.

Yes! I've gone barefoot well over ten years and I never have sore feet, it's much more comfortable than the best shoes can ever be.

Depends on what you are going barefoot over. I go barefoot a lot so can handle warm pavement relatively well, but sharp rocks, stickers, pine cones, and such can be quite uncomfortable.

Yes , and the reason is that i only wear shoes if i have to but prefer to walk bare foot to toughen the feet and get them some air
As a kid i used to walk for miles bare foot on unsealed roads and i think this helped to toughen them better.
TRY IT slowerly and after a time they will get harder

In the summers, yes, because I frequently go barefoot.

But when winter comes and I'm in shoes/boots outside then they're not.

No. I usually wear shoes, except when I am home, and then the shoes come off.
