So many times on here, I see people say, "if your God is so great why is there suffering and pain and I thought this article I received today answered it quite well, please share your interpretation or ???
How is it that our world can be filled with such beauty and such order and such good, and yet at the same time filled with such heartache and such pain? God says, "You can live how you want, or you can live how I created you to live." It's almost as if God says, "It's your choice."

It's still our choice.

Followers of Jesus are people who are committed to partnering with God to make this world, the world that we live in, the kind of place that God originally intended it to be.

God never promised us a world with no pain.. in fact the bible states there will be many trials and tribulations to go through. It also speaks of war etc. God just gave us a world.. It's the people who make it such a bad place. If you believe in God and know your good with him then you can feel safe in knowing that you will have life after death with no pain or evil.. that IS promised.

I understand your passion but technically you are incorrect about the purpose of the Christian life. We are not committed to partnering with God to make this world the kind of place that God intended it to be.

God knows that nothing you or I can do will change the character of the world. We are committed to live as God intended as best we can in a fallen world and witness to what God has done in our lives and spread the Gospel to all corners of the earth. We can make the world a better place to live but this world will never be what God intended. He will destroy it and remake it. He tells us so in the Bible.

There will always be hurt and pain until he remakes the world. Have you not read "the poor will always be with you." He isn't saying this to put down the poor or to say don't bother helping them, but to tell some one it's OK to spend money to revere God. But see the truth in it that there will always be poor. That's because the world is fallen. It is not the perfect place that God created and, like Humpty Dumpty, all the King's horses and all the King's men can't put it together again. It has to be destroyed. But in the mean time he has a plan to take as many as possible with him to the new heaven and new earth.

. He gave his Holy word for us to live by and his son to atone for our sins. It is our choice to decide what we want to do. We are not robots. There is pain and suffering in the world because of sin and until Satan is destroyed there always will be.

Because if God was so powerful to create all this beauty that you mention, he must also have been so sadistic - or incompetent - as to also create pain and death....

A blind force however could create both and still be innocent and generous... As blind force it would be only generously creating without judgment or will to punish...
