Frankly, my belief on girlfriend/boyfriend tatoos has rang true 100% of the time. When they get tatoos, the couple won't usually stay together. Look at celebrities: Billy Bob and Angelina, Nick Carter and Paris Hilton. Look at my ex! It's a curse, just like the girl above stated.

Nope, won't do it and neither will my husband. We have been together 12 years and married 5. We love each other like crazy, but its just not for us. Even in the most secure relationships things can happen. But, I don't see anything wrong with others having it done.

My x did that he had mine and the kids named tattooed on him while he was in jail. Well he showed it to me when he got out and I thought he was stupid guess he thought he was pretty stupid to after he beat the crap outta me and I left his a**. The weird thing about it he still has the tattoo I figured he would of found a way to cover it up but he didn't.

That was his choice. If he felt the need to do it, then that's his problem if you two ever break up. The fact that he did it without even mentioning it first does kind of make him sound a little controlling or obsessive though.

I'd rather keep his name forever in my heart and mind than to write it somewhere over my body. And I'd like him to do the same. The fact that he writes my name on his body doesn't mean too much.As true love is never shared all over the world, but kept between the two lovers.

no. my partner won't ever get a tattoo. his reason is sweet--he has a rare blood type and he wants to be able to give blood without worrying about transmitting any diseases. i realize the risk of contacting disease is low if you go to good tattoo artists, but i still think it's admirable that he thinks of others--means more to me than a little permanent ink.
i, on the other hand, would get his name tattooed on my body, but i'm afraid of needles.

as part of our engagement we decided to go the non-traditional route and got tattoos on our right forearms. Along the top of the image is his name on mine and my name on his.
