I don't know what to do. I delivered 3.5 months ago and working very hard to reduce fat. Since 2 weeks I have been working out 5 days a week, cardio - 5times a week, weight lifting-3 times a week. And I have only lost 1 pound. its so unfair that after so much hard work I only lost 1 pound in 2 weeks. I have no clue what am I doing wrong. I have a drink or 2 once in a while and have carbs only once a day. I eat salads and oatmeal for breakfast. What can I do to reduce 2 pounds a week?

relax...i believe you're on the rite track. its not dat easy to lose alot of weight within 2 weeks...so,keep it up, but take it easy and dont over exert yourself. 5 days a week may be a little to much dont you think? unless, of course if you are already used to it....you diet is good, juz make sure you have regular meals okay?..so yeah..juz be patient and you'll find those extra kilos shedding away.

Congratulations on the baby by the way :)

If you can, go in the morning and night. If you can't do that, go at night. Do alot of weights, weight lifting builds muscle and burns fat! Have your desert in the morning, so that you can burn it off in the day and not sleep on it at night. Going anytime to the gym is good, after words however, dont snack yourself up, otherwise, what was the point in working out? 3 times a week is fine, thats the normal average time you're suppose to go, but if your really serious about shedding some weight, go everyday, or as much as you can. Loosing weight takes time, so if you dont see a change after the first couple weeks, dont give your hopes up. Eat non-fat yogurt, protien, like fish, and vegies. If you can, juice fruits and veggies alot, very healthy, and it makes you feel full. Hope this helps! Good luck!!! :]

You need to adjust your diet. Cutting out on certain carbs helps a lot. Such as white bread, which in includes the delicious french baguette. Same goes for white pasta and rice and try to eat less of it.
Also look what kind and which dressing you put on your salad. Ranch for instances has tons of calories.

You may also consider eating something more with protein in the morning, instead of salad and oatmeal, such as an eggwhite omlette with some low fat cheese.

It really looks like it is more your diet than your exercise that is the problem. Keep record of what you eat for a week, check its calorie content and keep track.

You can find online how much calories things have when it isn't written on the food item. And remember, that people tend to misjudge their count by going lower to what they really eat.

Or you can consider going to a nutritionist. They will ask you to keep track of your food intake and then recommend what you should change.

How long do you do cardio? Shoot for at least 30 minutes, but 45-60 minutes is best.

What kind of oatmeal do you eat in the morning? Is it the plain jane, or the fancy stuff with extra calories? What goes on your salads? Cheese, olives, salted nuts, croutons, and dressings have extra fat grams and calories.

What do you normally drink during the day? Watch the calories there too.

I have had three children and let me just tell you... A woman's body can take up to a year to adjust after pregnancy. A possible reason that you are not losing could be you body is still functioning as if you were still pregnant. Or you just want results to fast. Do the work...it will eventually come off. Probably all at once. You'll wake up one morning being able to fit into your favorite pants! Just make sure that you are doing it healthy. You could also try to change up your workout.

first of all RELAX. you just had a kid! one thing your doing wrong is putting all this pressure on yourself. everyone's system is different and losing weight takes time. how much better would it be if you focused on losing a pound at a time? you need to focus on eating balanced and healthy. one thing that will help is to get a big breakfast in the morning which should tide you over for most of the day. snack only on fruit, juice, diet soda and granola bars. you can never have enough salad, try to stick with ones made with spinach and kale. walk, do push ups and sit ups. if you can afford it think about a bowflex or treadmill, try to look for a good used one. if you have friends who can do it with you, work out with them. my sis just got diagnosed as a pre diabetic and has to lose some serious weight in a matter of months or it's permanent. we just hauled our treadmill in her apartment. so, dial back on the pressure, stick to the basics and set your goals small. and congradulations on the kid! peace!

Cut out your drinks and high carbs for a while and eat mostly vegetables, certain fruits, and chilcken or poultry. You won't be craving junk once you get it out of your system. You don't want to not eat much because your body goes into starvation mode making you want to eat whatever is in sight. Just take it slow and work at making healthier choices to eat. It sounds like you are working hard at exercising. Just don't overdo yourself. Good Luck!

You're doing fine. Drink more water, and don't forget to relax with your baby now and then.

I'm guessing that you are in fact losing fat- but it's being converted to muscle, which is denser than fat.
