Well I am flying for my first time and not sure what to expect. I want to follow all security measures. One thing I am kind of worried about is one of my piercings. It's in my private part region and don't want to remove it if I don't have to. Do you think this would set anything off. I am well prepared for everything else except that piercing. I have 10 all together and that is the only one I don't want to remove if I don't have to, all the rest I will remove no problem. Anyone have any ideas for me. I will be flying on Continental if that makes any difference.

get there 2 hours early at least, better to be safe than sorry, also don't bring liquids on the plane in stow away put them in your checked baggage. bring the smaller bags of toiletries like shaving cream etc. I would call the airline too or go on their website it will have all the do's and don'ts.

the peircings if anything they will just have you take it out to go through the metal detector, but they may not do that I'm not sure. If they do obviously they won't have you strip down right there, that's another reason to go early in case you have to take it out in the bathroom.

It depends on how high the sensitivity is set on the Archway Metal detectors at the airport. I work as an airport/port security officer in the Falkland Islands and if the detector alarmed as you passed through, a female officer would use a hand held detector. If she was not satified that it was a body piercing she would ask you to submit to a body search in private. However if the object is small it probably won't trigger any alarms.

No, it should be all right. Piercings are too small to set the metal detectors off. I don't really think it is necessary to remove any of your piercings. I have some and I fly all the time; I've never removed them.
Have a good trip!

I doubt your piercings will set off the alarm. If it does, you can explain to the TSA that you have piercings. They'll "wand" you...running a portable electronic wand around your body, which will generally clear you.

In the extremely unlikely event that a closer visual inspection is needed (this WON'T happen), you'd be permitted to go to a closed-off, secure area, where you'd be inspected by a TSA officer of the same sex as you.

Contact/call the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) and Continental Airlines before you fly.

in keeping with probability. in keeping with probability no longer. this is many times a rely of opinion. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, in case you look on the suggestions with regard to the multiple weapons and different weapons that have been confiscated and for this reason no longer allowed on flights, it may look that at a minimum there are far fewer armed passengers on board the flights.
