I work in a church with 3 catholic priest. So, here's my question. Why do you want to be a Catholic priest?

I don't think just anybody can become a Catholic priest. There must be criteria for it. If you fit the criteria and feel it is your calling in life, go ahead.
It's a pretty big deal so I'd say think long and hard before dedicating your life to your church.

If you think you've got a 'calling', then go for it. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Besides, you're not gonna be a priest right away, you'll be a seminarian for a few years. Those are the years you could use to think about whether or not you're gonna continue and become a priest. It's all up to you.

Follow your heart....I think if you are needing to ask us, then you must have doubts.
Speak with a priest and see what courses are available to you to find out what being a priest is all about.
You really need professional advice on this one.
Dont dismiss such a wonderful ambition on the opinions of people who dont understand.

No, To become a priest that is a passion, a desire, a need that you want to fulfil, to come on to Yahoo and ask that question, then it is definitely not for you. I would speak to your parish priest, tell him that you are thinking of joining the priesthood see what he says, but I really don't think it is for you

That is a very big step to take in your life ,why would you want to be a priest is there sometihng wrong in your life that you think that this will fix .you will be celibate for the rest of your life and think of all the training you will need to do go and talk to a priest and see what he thinks.
