You know, they say he's coming when we least expect it, but I don't think it's possible for me to expect it any less than I already do.

No other generation has heard so much talk about the end of the world. Many fear that the world will end in a nuclear holocaust. Others think that pollution may destroy the world. Still others worry that economic chaos will set masses of humanity against one another.

Could this world really end? If it did, what would it mean? Has a world ever ended before?

A World Ends—Another Replaces It
Yes, a world did end. Consider the world that became very wicked in the days of Noah. The Bible explains: "The world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water." The Bible also says: "[God] did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people."—2 Peter 2:5; 3:6.

Note what the end of that world meant and what it did not mean. It did not mean the end of humankind. Noah and his family survived the global Flood. So did the planet Earth and the beautiful starry heavens. It was "a world of ungodly people" that perished, a wicked system of things.

Eventually, as Noah's offspring increased, another world developed. That second world, or system of things, has existed down to our day. Its history has been filled with war, crime, and violence. What will happen to this world? Will it survive?

The Future of This World
After saying the world in Noah's day suffered destruction, the Bible account continues: "By the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire." (2 Peter 3:7) Indeed, as another Bible writer explains: "The world [the one existing today] is passing away."—1 John 2:17.

The Bible does not mean that the literal earth or the starry heavens will pass away, even as these did not pass away in Noah's day. (Psalm 104:5) Rather, this world, with its "heavens," or governmental rulers under the influence of Satan, and its "earth," or human society, will be destroyed as if by fire. (John 14:30; 2 Corinthians 4:4) This world, or system of things, will perish just as surely as did the world before the Flood. Even Jesus Christ spoke about the situation in "the days of Noah" as an example of what would happen just prior to the end of this world.—Matthew 24:37-39.

I think the gospel is supposed to be preached everywhere first. I guess you atheists have probably heard it, but moslems in places like Kandahar and communists in places like North Korea haven't. (In moslem countries it can be very tough as they believe they have an enhanced revelation, and some texts in the Koran give them license to very cruel to evangelists of other faiths. Communists also have their own idea of how things are to develop and can be unashamedly brutal at times.).

To God a 1000 years is like a day anyway.

Presumably this evil 'Antichrist' dude has to come first as well. We christians will spot him if we are walking in faith, but you atheists probably mostly won't as he will be so smooth and appealing in what he says.

Some people believe Israel had to be re-established before these end-time last scenes could start. That happened only recently, in 1948.
------------
Before 2050 perhaps, as that would be one whole complete generation of lives on from 1948. God alone knows. Perhaps on the anniversary of Christ's death in approx 2032, since the New Covenant officially began in 32 AD or whenever Christ rose from the dead and made salvation through His sacrifice available to takers !
Actually that might really make sense, since Abraham probably began his wonderings and was initiated into the Old Covenant in about 2000 BC.

The Bible clearly says that no man knows the day nor the hour. This is why whenever I hear (or any Bible believer) some group say the end is (fill in a date, year, or time) I know they are deceived. No one knows.
What we DO know are the signs that will precede Christ's return. What many get preoccupied with are the signs of Satan's coming.

The 4 Gospel writers needless to say let us know of the day on which Jesus died. It got here approximately on the day of the Passover, which replaced into held on the 14th of the Jewish month Nisan, interior the spring. Many Bible scholars agree that Jesus ministry lasted 3 and a nil.5 years. If Jesus died interior the spring, his delivery could have been interior the autumn. Jesus in specific commanded his followers to commemorate that day, Nisan 14, in remembrance of him. (Luke 22:19) The Bible consists of no such command to have fun Jesus’ birthday, nor, for that count, the different guy or woman’s birthday.

So you want to know when to be prepared? If you really want to be prepared, why not now ? you'll find nowhere in the bible written the exact day and hour, because not even Jesus knows it and not even the angels! (if u don't believe me, read MATTHEW 24:36 to 44) Only God knows, so if He didn't tell his Son ,, He won't tell me, just as He won't tell you, because He wants us to want him (OH, THESE REPETITIONS!) not out of fear because the next day we know he'll come, but out of love

Seeing how Jesus declared in Matthew 24:34 that the disciples' generation would not pass away before the end of the world routine went down, I think that window of time has passed. Sorry, Christians.

I have zero, and I mean zero idea.
I also don't pretend have a mystery date picked out.
It could be now, 2 days from now, 7 years, or 8734 years.
When it happens, it happens.
In the meantime, I have many things to accomplish.
So, the next question is, are you ready.

in revelations it says Jesus is coming quickly ... actually it says behold the bridegroom comes quickly......

and the last words of the bible resonate SOON.

so do not worry about anyone else - focus on yourself and get your life in order, if others see your life flowing with God then they will ask you what your secret is.
