I know yall must have seen 50 billion of these questions already..sorry. But anyways, Im 12 turning 13 this month and I have mild acne. I would like to know if their is any tips on how to reduce the swelling, reduce redness, etc. You know, make them less noticable. Also, I've heard about this 'ice' thing. Does it work?

First, make sure you are washing your face twice a day - when you wake up in the morning and before you go to bed. Use a mild cleanser so you don't dry out your skin - Cetaphyl is a nice one. I would also suggest using a mild lotion that is oil free. When you get pimple, put a topical pimple medication on them like Oxy or Clearisil. If you want to reduce redness, get some visine and soak a Q-Tip with it. Hold the Q-Tip to the pimple for a couple of minutes (Do that before you apply pimple medication). If your acne gets worse, you may want to visit a dermatologist.

ice works, but putting a warm green tea bag on your zits works better at reducing the size and redness. try this...before u go to bed take a cotton ball and soak it in warm salt water for about 1 min. then take the cotton ball(s) and apply it to the zit, hold it there for about 2-3 min. then take some honey and dab it on the zit and put a band aid over it and go to sleep! honey kills bacteria! it will be much better in the morning!
