If you want to find God you just have to search for him with all your heart and he will reveal himself to you in a profound manner.
If you are a Hindu = I know a Hindu friend who told me that in the Vedas the true religious scriptures of the Hindu people it talks about the son of Man (Christ ) prajapathi who has the attributes of Christ and dies in the manner as told in the Vedas and my friend told me that he found the answers to all the questions in the four Vedas in the bible
Check this link also http://www.acns.com/~mm9n/hind/Chapter%20Six.htm
If you are a Muslim = A different friend told that there is a chapter in the Holy Koran called Suriya mariam where it talks about the birth of Christ and in the full of the Holy Koran Christ is the only healer .
So Christ is the true answer to your question .
Read the Holy Koran and then check if what i say is right and then believe in Christ

Try this technique, sit down on the floor in a meditating position and make sure that it is quiet and peaceful and hold up both hands in a begging manner and says this exact words ( Oh GOD of this whole universe, please guide me,reveal to me,your real, true religion so that I will not waste anymore precious times practicing in the false religion, without your guidance I will be lost in this chaotic world,If I am in the right religion now please give me a sign of proof and if I'm not in the right religion please guide and show me the true religion, Please GOD..... ok now you wait there about half an hour without interuption with your head down, waiting. But remember this DO not says "oh god jesus god mohammad, krishna, etc"no name mention just says "Oh GOD of this universe", as above mentioned earlier.Good Luck and may you find your true GOD before It's too late.

Identifying the Only True God
ALMOST as long as humans have existed, they have had many gods. There have been so many that it is difficult to put an accurate figure on the number of gods and goddesses worshiped throughout the earth—but it runs into the millions.
Having established that there is a God, we now ask, Which of all the gods worshiped throughout the earth, now and in the past, is the true God? That there is only one true God who can be identified as such is clearly stated in the Bible at John 17:3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."
An Identifying Name
It would be reasonable that any god who has personality would need a personal name to distinguish him from other gods with names of their own. It would preferably be a name designated by the god himself, rather than a name coined by his worshipers.
In this regard, however, a very puzzling fact emerges. While most well-established religions ascribe personal names to their gods, Jews and mainstream churches of Christendom have failed to identify by a distinctive personal name the god that they worship. Instead, they resort to such titles as Lord, God, Almighty, and Father.
Writing in the publication Theology, author David Clines stated the following: "Somewhere between the fifth and the second centuries B.C. a tragic accident befell God: he lost his name.

True god is he one that truely creates , sustains and annihilates .All these three characters are seen in Nature alone and it is Nature that is created by cosmos , the void and emptiness -the vacuum in the space and all the universes and all that it contains .what else did create the universe itself ?
This is whey Lord Krishna showed the Cosmos in his viswaroopa to Arjuna in response to his request to show him the totality of God .Since infinity can nt be seen by physical eye , HE gave Arjuna a Divine eye , the eye of Gnana, the eye of wisdom to see it .God in his totality can be seen by wisdom only and not byphysical eye .the physical eye can see only a spoeck of him ,just like the mocrobe on the body of an elephant can see a fragment of the elephant .
"Praja " means subjects , the people "Prajai" . Pathy" means , the Master , the Lord , so prajapathy means the lord of the people .It is simply said as "Loga nathan" "Ulaga nathen" WHAT THE VEDAS SAID WAS The lord of the world , lobg long before the great grand mother herself of JESUS CHRIST , would have been concieved by her mother
and the vedas see he one god ion all things on earth including dirt and in all animals and all animate and inanimate objects and creatures much to the disagreement of what Jeus christ has been preaching .Jesus christ would have been a Nastik an Atheist in the light of what the veads preach.so do not bring in Jesus christ into everythjng that has happend several million times the age of Jesus christ .Somebodysaid Ah today .woud some one say that this Ah was foretoild by somebouy some millions of years ago,so idiotic should be the reference to Jesus in the Hindu scriptures of millioins of years old , that too when the very basic thught of the person is totally aopposed to the very vedas themselves .

Using Abraham's tried and true method of determining top god, the historical record obviously points to the god of war, Mars, as being the one, true god of this world.

BE STILL and KNOW I AM GOD! You must still the mind and observe the most subtle part of your nature. Life in you is part of God and it is ever safe from the story of life you have super-imposed on it. Mind assumes the role of personality that takes on a life of it's own and suffers the ups and downs of living. ONE part of you never has to be "thought" about and that part assumes all functions you never even "think" about doing. You are Spirit having a human experience not a human trying to have a spiritual experience. I AM in you is the ONE you are looking for!

you dont have to find God he is every where he is omnipotent.God is one who is complete in all the six opulence-strength, knowledge,.wealth, beauty, fame, renunciation
know body can claim that he has got all the wealth of the world, all the fame, all the strength, all the beauty but God can claim this because every thing emanates from him, he is the creator of every thing he is the only one, he is the cause of all the causes, he is the proprietor of every thing, this nature is working under his direction.he can become smallest of the smallest and biggest of the biggest, he is the beauty of the nature, he is the taste of pure water,he is the source of all the beautiful creations,he is illuminating the sun the stars the moon with his brahma jyoti.he created brahma, shiva, indra,,,and all the other demigods who are his servents working under his directions.but he is not here his creations can be percieved but he is not here he is somwhere else.like when sun rays are falling on the ground we dont say sun is on the ground but the rays are nondifferent from the sun.Similarly Gods material creations are here but he himself the creator is not here.and we can only find him by showning our love unto him, engaging in devotional loving service to him.
thank you.hk

Your question is too limiting. It needs to also account for finding out if there is no god at all as well.
After all, if the afterlife is our purpose, then why does one of the highest religious leaders (the pope) drive around in a multi-million dollar bullet proof car.
