It is possible, Jen!
My hair wants to be super dry which means, brittle, breaking, not growing long. I've tricked it into growing long and healthy. You'll see what I mean!
I stopped relaxing my hair because I was tired of seeing breakage and so much shedding. I've done this twice over the last 2 years. I "texturized" my hair recently and I relaxed it back in 2005.
When my hair ISN'T relaxed, it takes longer (and it is harder) to make it look great unless I'm wearing a fro, weave or braids.
BUT it grows so healthily and long and thick when there is no chemical in it.
THE BEST THING I've done for my hair besides taking a break is taking Mikal Clay hair vitamins. http://www.mikalclay.com
When I don't take them, I see the difference in my hair and nails. They were my prenatal vitamins, too. My baby has a head full of thick, shiny curls. (I can send pictures of us both if you like.)
Be gentle to your hair. Be consistent with conditioning. Use Nexus products (Therappe and Humectress) as well as Carol's Daughter's products. They have made me LOVE my hair.
Drink a LOT of water (1 gallon per day) and eat fruits and veggies. Detangle gently. Keep your hair and scalp well moisturized. I like Optimum Care moisturizer with avocado, jojoba oils, etc. Its affordable and smells nice. (Yellow bottle or jar).
My sisters have long hair but only because they take great care of it. The 1st time I got a relaxer, I was 14. I hate the salon, too! Again, the best thing is the hair vitamins. My hair is down my back for the 1st time since I was 4 without a weave.
Peace

I have always had long hair even as a little girl my first perm was when I was 9 I used PCJ because my hair was so thick. As I got older I started experimenting with color and different styles that brought my hair out. I had my hair cut into a even bob all around in February due to hair damage. My hair has grown about 3-4 inches just over these couple of months. I use infusion 23 Leave in conditioner keep my ends trimmed and Organics Olive Oil sheen. I would recommend Pantene Pro V shampoo for relaxed hair. A good conditioner is always good as well as a relaxer. Remember to keep your ends trimmed and try wrapping your hair and keep excessive heat off it. These are my results I know everyone is different but my hair is healthy and I get allot of compliments but, I also go to the salon to get roller wraps, and trimming of my ends. I am now 25 and my hair looks great I hope this helps!!

I have been getting my hair relaxed since 4th grade hahaha way tooo long but I have gone natural a few times since then. I am now 27 and discovered the key to healthy hair last summer.
Cut out all pertroleum based products aka GREASE, If you are going to use heat on your hair never use a blow dryer, invest in a hooded dryer and only use ceramic flat irons and curling irons.
I think the real key is frequent washing with good shampoos and conditioners wash at least twice a week, or try the "no poo" method which is just rinsing your hair then working a good conditioner through it. For shampoo and conditioner any professional brand is great as far as store brands, panteen and sunsilk and dove are ok. The best conditioner for my hair is Cholestoral with Shae Butter, it can be found in any Sally's Beatuy Supply store.
I alsmost forgot make sure you keep your ends trimmed and don't wait too long between touch ups that is a ticket to breakage. I have had great results doing all of this, my hair grows super fast now and is not all dry brittle and broken like it has gotten in the past.
I know the frequent washing sounds crazy as most black women look at me like I have five heads when I say it but trust me it works, if we all did it we would all have beatutiful long hair but you know most of us don't and it's not long unless it was purchased and sewn, braided or glued on.
If you have any questions feel free to email me thequiqui@yahoo.com
good luck!

There are many methods to make our hair grow faster, shine , glitter in natural ways without using chemicals. Learn here https://bitly.im/aOf2G Men, and sometimes women, notice that their hair is thinning prematurely for several different reasons. Age, menopause, pregnancy, genetics, illness, and other factors all play a role in hair loss. Sure, you can use drugs or you can go in for a hair transplant or fusion, but sometimes the easiest, most inexpensive solution, is to try to stop hair loss naturally.
