Many of my friends and family have read the Bible and have become Christians because they believe the Bible is true. When I read the Bible I simply couldn't accept that it was true (I don't know why). Does this mean I am too evil to be a Christian? Am I automatically going to hell because my brain is stupid and wont believe the Bible is true?

Everyone, righteous or unrighteous, who dies goes to the common grave of mankind, which some Bible versions translate hell. They do not suffer there since the Bible teaches that the dead "are conscious of nothing at all" (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
Understanding and believing the Bible has nothing to do with brains.
Matthew 13:10 So the disciples came up and said to him: “Why is it you speak to them by the use of illustrations?” 11 In reply he said: “To YOU it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, but to those people it is not granted. 12 For whoever has, more will be given him and he will be made to abound; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13 This is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations, because, looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain, neither do they get the sense of it; 14 and toward them the prophecy of Isaiah is having fulfillment, which says, ‘By hearing, YOU will hear but by no means get the sense of it; and, looking, YOU will look but by no means see. 15 For the heart of this people has grown unreceptive, and with their ears they have heard without response, and they have shut their eyes; that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts and turn back, and I heal them.’

As long as there is breathe in you, you can be saved. Do you believe in the supernatural? good and evil? if you believe in the evil, then you have to also believe in the good. Have you noticed that man cannot create anything, we can invent, but not create. With all our scienctists and there studies they can't find one planet that could sustain life. Believing there is a creator is a good first step, do you believe in an absolute moral code, the bible teaches that there is one. Do you believe there is certian things that are flat out wrong to do like murder, rape, steal. If you will notice that is all right in the Bible, the best selling book of all time. And by the way you are not stupid, God doesn't create stupid people. People maybe different, some may learn different or quicker than others but God has a purpose for everybody, even you. Jesus Loves YOU, he died on a cross for you. There comes a time in a persons life when you will just have to step out in faith. If you feel your heart burning right now, or you feel a pulling in your heart that is the Holy Spirit wanting you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, Just say this Prayer right now, Dear Jesus, I believe you are the son of God, I believe you came to earth to die on a cross for me to be a perfect sacrifice for my sins and rose from the grave the third day, I know and confess that I am a sinner in need of your salvation. I ask you to come into my heart now and save me, in Jesus name I Pray, Amen... If you just Prayed that Pray with a sincere heart you are now saved and Jesus lives inside your heart. Find a church, get you a Bible and start reading. Its a wonderfull world being a born again Christian. If you have questions please feel free to send me an email. Good luck to you and God Bless YOU!!

Your friends and family may belive the Bible is true, they may or may not really understand it.

Really understanding and believing the Bible is a gift from God, a calling if you will. Not everyone will get that callin in this present age.....but eventually everyone will have an opportunity to know God.

You are are not going to hell, because hell does not exist. the concept of hell as a place of eternal torment and punishing is not found in the Bible. it is adopted from paganism by the RCC.

You are not stupid because you are smart enough to ask this question.

I guess you are Christian, otherwise you would not think you could go to hell. You have no right to insult people because of their beliefs.

Edit : If you do not think it is true, then why do you think hell exists and you go to hell since you do not believe in it. Believing in something is not to know it is true but accept it without a doubt. However, one should search for the truth, not for the thing his family accept as your family are human beings. There are not superior to you, so they could be wrong too.

I don't know if you will go to hell or not the only one that knows that for sure is God.
I believe that it is true but i have many other reasons for that than just reading about it. If you can't read and believe it do you ever feel it? Because I do, I feel the presence of God everyday of my life. There are many among us who can not read at all but they Believe because the spirit moves them to. Believe in your heart that Jesus is real, ask Him into your heart and feel the truth that He will set upon you. God Bless.

Belief or disbelief in the Bible is irrelevant if those beliefs are based upon FEELING.

The Bible itself declares, "PROVE ALL THINGS!" (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

PROVE it for your self, whether it is true of not.
