this is unusual. I don't know the reason why it takes 99% of the CPU.. it also makes my other programs and games get laggy and choppy.. What could be the reason and solution? btw, here's a screenshot:http://img175.imageshack.us/my.php?image=89595464ph5.jpg

The idle process runs when the computer literally has nothing else to do. It runs at the lowest possible priority and does not slow down your other programs, it will give up the CPU any time they want it.

Is this really a serious question?

The 'System Idle' process is exactly that - its how much of your system is idle. It does not 'use up' any of your CPU usage. If you notice in your screenshot, your System Idle process is 93% but your CPU usage is only 11%. Its a bit strange that the numbers don't add up to 100% like they should, but it may be that one of them updated before the other right when you took the screenshot. If your programs and games are laggy, I would suspect something else is the cause such as not enough RAM, or inadequate graphics card. Give a complete description of your machine specs and what programs/games are having problems.

PPjoykey.exe is not a bad process, BTW, its a joystick emulator if I'm not mistaken.

Windows tries to manage idle cycles and memory on its own to help improve performance. This isn't any unusual. It is a good thing. Unusual is when a program takes much of processing. Regarding slugging, choppy system, you need to clean up hard drive for junk and close any unnecessary programs in background hogging system resources.
