I just answered a question in which atheists were accused of not knowing anything about religion, and as a result none of their objections to religion made any sense.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgRcpZrMo.Ybhfyx8Qp6znTd7BR.?qid=20070907040152AA6IR4Q

Anyway... after answering the question, I went back and clicked 'edit'... made a change... and then, I found that I was blocked.

I consider this to be a very good sign. Apparently, my answer made the questioner look so foolish that his/her immediate reaction was to 'block' me... and I am certain that when I check my e-mail, I will find a vioation notice... even though (and I'm sure everyone will agree) that it is NOT a violation.

So... I can't get back to see the question and answers, and I'm hoping that someone can take a peek and let me know how many thumbs up/down there are... assuming that the answer is still there.

(In case my answer is NOT still there... here it is...)

OK... so you believe that a (fictional) cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.

I think that is insane.

What part of that doesn't make sense?

For those who wanted to know where the 'talking snake with legs' bit comes from...

Genesis 3:14 - "And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:"

Go and ask your clergymen why snakes don't have legs. They will point to this verse, and tell you that it was a part of god's punishment for deceiving Eve... he poofed-away the critter's legs. Since then, snakes have had to slither on their bellies.

I went to that question just now to review your answer. FYI, it is still there. Perhaps you were blocked because your answer is just a cut-and-paste job of the same broken-record response you post for many questions; I recognized it from a question last week.

Well, currently it's 4 up 1 down (I guess he gave you a thumbs down THEN blocked you.

I wouldn't worry about it, his "question" seemed to be nothing but a little foot stamping.

You could always create another account which you can use to see what happens whenever you get blocked.

I recently was blocked by Imjstbob, which was cute... he seems so *sincere*, yet I guess he doesn't REALLY want to reach out to us "sinners" at all, he just wants to feel as if he is a sincere and reasonable evangelist.

One thumb down so far . . . Man! Where were you last night? There was never a time where the jewish zombie adaptation was needed as badly. I even said "i wish duckphup was here".

I think that he was offended by your banter. I just don't understand why the Atheists here can be so underhanded and mean. You provided him everything he needs to be confrontational in every encounter with non-religious people from now on. Instead of telling him that he is stupid for believing a "fairy tale" and summing up his LIFE with what you have come to know it as, (btw, a talking snake with legs? Jesus is His own dad? wtf are you even talking about? You are generalizing Christians, we don't all believe what you said) why not answering his question and explaining what you actually know about his religion. (which is clearly very little)

What's more illogical than believing that the universe came from nothing and that billions of years ago my ancestors were microscopic ocean dwelling amoebas? (not that I disagree) Why believe anything that you can't go back in time and see for yourself?

I added another, you're now 7:1 up. This question has also seemingly prompted other people to explain the flaw in his "burden of proof" argument.
