i have turned to soya milk and find it great on cereal and in coffee/tea . for taste try sweetened and unsweetened to find which you prefere.
there is a soya milk called soya light which has similar calories and fat levels to skimmed milk but you should look for a brand (in most supermarkets and health shops) that has added calcium and vitamins as they are not found in the soya milk otherwise.
from a health point of view soya helps with pms and pmt as it naturally contains oestrogen the female hormones. it also helps with the menopause sypmtoms of memory, etc you know what i mean if thats where your at.
in general soya can be a good choice as a n alternative to dairy if you suffer with asthma or excema since cows milk can aggrevate those conditions,
im sure that it has many other benefits too numerous to mention but which could be researched

yes, FAR better. See http://www.milksucks.com/more.asp
Some soy milk drinks are fortified with extra vitamins. I personally think rice milk is healthier, but as far as nutrients go, soy milk is usually the better choice.
While you're doing your low fat diet, be sure to try green smoothies. In short, it's fruit mixed with greens such as a little spinach or kale etc. The fruit covers up the taste of the greens, and this drink will help stop sweetie cravings and things. I use pineapple or strawberries and banana as the base for mine. In a week, you will see the change in your skin from adding greens :)
* to the poster above, try a nut milk like hazelnut or an oat milk, nut milks are quite thick and go well with cereal. To be fair, some soy milks are quite thick, it just depends which brand you go for. The ones kept in the fridge section of the supermarket are usually more 'milk'-like than the ones in section with long life milk.

No. Soy protein is fattening. Better to go with rice milk.
