I prefer the term 'agno-atheist.

I'll wait for evidence of something else. Until then, no religion without proof.

Agnostic. I believe that there is some form of universal connection but is that God? Who knows? I've always had a hard time swallowing the stories told in the Bible. They just sound to me like old myths, stories that ancient man made up to explain the world around him without any other means of doing so. Maybe I'm wrong. No one knows for sure.

I'd say both since agnosticism is just a subset of weak atheism which I am to all gods (I'm a strong atheist with regard to some specific gods such as the Jewish, Christian and Islamic gods).

I realise full well that we don't know whether a god exists or not and that it there is no evidence either way at least in a generic sense of the word god (i.e. not a specific god where we often do have evidence against a specific conception of god) making me an agnostic.

But since the evidence is consistent with the null hypothesis of god not existing I have to lack belief in god making me a weak atheist.

Some gods either contradict the way the world works or contradict themselves meaning that I can know they don't exist so to those specific gods I'm a strong atheist.

Atheist here.
I am Atheist mainly due to the fact
there is no real hard evidence that
it is real. I am the type of person that
has to see and experience something
for myself to be able to believe. So
until that day comes I will be an Atheist.
I hope this answered your question.
I know some people will take offence to this
but it is my opinion and no one has to do as I do.

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist. People believe in specific gods because of indoctrination from an early age, tradition, hallucinations, fear of torture (for gods sadistic enough to threaten it) and other similarly illogical reasons. But no gods exist in reality; these are all stories, created for people who were scared of the world long before we understood it. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

I am an atheist. There is insufficient evidence to support the hypothesis of a god or gods.

I am Atheist, Why? no proof...and what some people call "Proof' Is simply nothing more than opinion...not actual fact.

both. i don't know, and i don't believe. i've found that believers are more interested in what i believe (makes sense given the name huh), so i tend to describe myself first as an atheist.
