the true guru is god. And he has created your consciousness to be perfect. But you must remove all of the false thoughts and destructive feelings from it to experience yourself as perfect. It won't come all at once nor will it ever be completely contiguous. There will always be things to work on, errors to correct, reactions to change. There are enlightened beings in this world and you have to find them and spend time in their presence to get a feel for enlightened consciousness. It transmits and there is an energy field around everyone and being in the field of a guru allows you to feel what they feel, if only for a brief time. Then you try and find those errors of mind that make you lose that feeling, that expansion. It will come and go continuously. Some thoughts will raise your awareness, others will drag it down. Ultimately, you will have to be your own guru and come to your own conclusions about things, but not before you are able to.

This is a very onest question!
We all know theoryies like, you are your guru, or God are the true guru, or when you can see he is there etc...
But this is an simple and onest question. For example i just take a look of Guru's discipoles, and their organisations!!!
Are that discipoles mad, fanatic, ill?
Second: How live a guru?- how many cars, how many houses???
- What powers have a guru? - Is he just an hipnotic manipulator, or he have true powers?
And finally, i just listen my heart and i pray to my Lord Shiva to protect my mind and let me see the truth!....- But i repet, this doesn't work anytime, unssually we accept a guru just betwen intuition and feeling!
May Lord Ganesh give us Nirmala Vidya!

if you are devoted enough then god will surely send you one True Guru.but God himself is the supreme Guru.but Guru is required for spiritual advancement,like you want to do engineering you can't become engineer by yourself you need a teacher.AGuru is the one who transmits the teachings of God to his disciples as it is with out any addition or subtraction of the original teachings,so the Guru grabes the message of God from his Guru and he becomes Guru.So, this succession is known as Guru disciple succession i which the original message of God is passed.So one should choose a Guru who is in this disciplic succession.A True Guru would teach you to love God and how to become his servent.but he will never claim he is God. the moment he thinks like that he is dog.

True is not a teacher alone. True guru is one sent by God to LEAD the DISCIPLE to god-Realization. He takes the load of his disciple's karmic conditions.
TRUE GURU WILL COME TO YOU WHEN YOU ARE READY & his purpose is to show you the way to God.

When the time is right, you will meet the Guru that is destined for you. Until that happens, we can either spend time in search of him or we can spend it contemplating on God. I would rather prefer the latter.
