What part of having sex is a sin? Isn't it like a natural thing? And like the only after marriage thing whats up with that? If we have a bond even though were not married isn't that pretty much the same thing?
I'm Christian btw I just don't follow a lot of rules :p

You ever seen how thick a bible is? Its huge! I can kill a man with it. Plus they talk weird in it so I can't really make out a lot of what is said.

I tend to agree with HypnoToad here, sex is a basic human need and transcends all other man-made boundaries like religion, race, etc.
There is nothing at all sinful or wrong with sex when it is done by consenting people. Don't view sex or try to interpret it wearing religious glasses.

It comes down to one thing ...

Do you want to follow God's rules or reject them. You claim to be a Christian, yet you pick and choose from God's rule book. You are Christian in name only.

Marriage is for one man and one woman in a covenant relationship. That requires a public expression of their commitment to each other.

But in recent years we've managed to twist and turn the meaning of marriage, family and commitment into anything that fits our desires.

Sex is a beautiful thing where appropriate. God cannot bless a relationship that does not conform to His standards and I'm hoping that as a Christian, you would want God's blessings.

That you cannot understand the bible is further proof that your Christianity is an illusion. Without the power of the Holy Spirit it is impossible to understand the bible.

The teaching ot the Bible is clear:

Sex is a glorious gift from God to mankind. But it is best saved for marriage between a man and a woman..a marriage that lasts the rest of our lives.

Following rules can often help you avoid the mistakes others have made in the past.

You say you are a Christian, Is it by name only or by experince, & you claim you can't understnd the bible, Where is your teacher at, BTW the teacher is the Holy Ghost, Now concerning having sex, a True Christian will wait until after marriage to have sex, & sex between a husband & wife is not sinful, But between 2 people living together unmarried is. In fact between a husband & wife the bible says the Bed is undefiled, & marriage is honorable.

Sex isn't bad! It isn't "bad" at all. God made sex for humans to enjoy and for procreation. But he did put some rules on it. Looking at the number of sexually transmitted diseases/AIDS/unwanted pregnancies/abortions etc, it should be crystal clear as to why he did so. But, as with most things, there are deeper reasons for him doing so as well. It is about intimacy. It is about faithfulness. It is about love. As a "christian" you should know that. You should also be very aware of what Christ said about it "You must not even LOOK at a woman with lust, or you have committed adultery in your heart". That is his standard. It is a very difficult standard to live by, but that is what he expects. You state that "I just don't follow a lot of rules". To do so deliberately is to be a hypocrite. I would seriously question if you are a true believer if that is your attitude. Why would God make any rules at all if we could just pick and choose the ones we want to obey or not? He gave us the 10 commandments, not the 10 suggestions.

Any chance you could tell me where Scripture says sex per se is bad? If you are a Christian, you really need to study your Bible more. A lot of things non-Christians will tell you about Christianity are ridiculously untrue.

Edit: I see. So, you would rather accept somebody else's word about what you believe than do the work to figure it out on your own. *sigh*

The Bible tells us to follow the laws of the land. Sex is not a bad thing, as long as it isn't outside of marriage.

God blessed the marriage covenant;.

Sex with your married partner is a good thing

Sex with others is adultury or fornication.
Many times no bond, just acts.

The bond without marriage that you talk about is not God ordained. If you are a Christian as you claim, that will mean something to you. If you aren't, it won't.

Christians have never said that sex was bad. It was created for pleasure (read Song of Solomon). It is natural but is restricted to marriage for our protection. We become one flesh as a married couple in an intimate relationship. When we aren't married, there is no full commitment and if the relationship ends, it brings so much heartache.

You are a Christian that doesn't follow a lot of the rules?? You really need to evaluate who you are out to please. If you continue to put yourself over God, he will spit you out. A lukewarm Christian is the worst kind. Choose a side.

Sex on it own is not a sin. It only becomes a sin when you engage in it outside of marriage which the Holy Book forbids us. I think u should wait till you are married since you said u are a christian. I wish u all the best.
