Every thing rather than God is maya.Every thing that we see with our two eyes is maya.
In GuruGranth sahib ,Guru Arjun Dev Ji says:-
Bhadoye bharam bhulania ,bichhudan lagga het.Lakh shingar banaya,Karaj nahin ket.

Dear My Friend,
Everything in this world is 'UNCERTAINITY'(MAYA),ur life,my life as well as everyone's life also the same sphere. Suppose U can arise a question like this, then, why we need to survive? for whom we have to survive?
Simble answer for this with examble:-
In our garden, we r having very different flowers and plants,
everyday , we enjoying when one of the flower has grow into bud, and little more young,and boom condition, finally, it become fade and fall down, similarly, If u pass through the forest(Jungle) also u can see, and enjoy finest flowers, it also growing and showing and falling.
Similarly, our life also, we earn, accumulating huge money with ur 'HARD WORk' , during ur life time, u r enjoing as per ur wish, finally u also pass through world, like the Flowers, Plants and Animals.
Onething i would like to say about , Human life, ie, Humanbeings only have the Spirit, in this thing, if u think, U can 'LIVE' after ur Physical death. This is purely mystry, try to findout

maya is ego. it is responsible for all the bad thoughts in our mind and temptations. it is present in every human except for the one that is above the three gunas. (i.e. tamogun, rajogun, sattvaguna) he is said to be the one true guru. (God himself) maya is also ignorance. you think that you are the body due to maya whereas in reality, your true form is the soul(jiva). like the jiva, maya is nonpierceable, indivisible, unchanging, etc. the only way to get rid of it is to become brahmarup and in that brahmarup state, you offer worship to God with observance of dharma and attatchment to only God.

Maya means wealth for which a person can commit crime, a person left workship of God, a person can leave their near dear one etc.
Maya is my friend's name also.
One Maya i seen in movie DIL TO PAGAL HAI yesterday.

Maya is vanity. The theory of everything came from nothing and nothing is eternal except our soul. Everything you see and perceive in this world is vanity. Only God is eternal. He is Paramathma and we as His creations are Jeevathamas. We have to prove ourselves worthy of reaching God after our death from this world by living a holy life.
