If your hair doesn't straighten with a hair straigthener you can use a relaxer; it's what we Africans use and it keeps the hair straight and soft for months. there are several in the market ranging from Dark & Lovely to the more vegetable based ones; Botanicals.
When the hair is relaxed split ends will become easy to deal with; a few haircuts (trimming the ends) will do the trick. Go back to your hairdresser to do this for you.

You must not keep straighterning it if you have split ends. If you have already had it cut once and got rid of your split ends thn maybe its your straighterning thats causing them, 2hrs is a ver long time to be exposing your hair esp the weaker parts like the ends to that amount of heat! You need to have split ends chopped as they can't be "mended" and start by having conditioning maskes put on at the hairdresses (theese are more powerfull) have a full conseltation at you hdresses to asses what products are best for your hair and how you can achieve the looks you would like. It will take time for your hair to recover and reach peak condition but it will be worth it. But jst lay of the straightenres for a bit maybe. Anyways good luck bbexx

If you are spending 2 hours with a straightener on your hair and picking the ends, no wonder it is in a horrible condition.
Have it trimmed again, use a good conditioner every time you wash your hair and ask for a pair of GHD's for Christmas - they will straighten anything.
Please don't shave your head - everyone will think you have gone nuts (like Britney Spears).
Good luck!

If you have that type of hair it will always regrow in the same condition. It's just sods law. I'm guessing you have wavy hair and although you look like you have a lot of hair it's actually very thin?

Have it cut very short. Quit trying to straighten it. If you have the urge to pick, get a nice natural bristle brush and brush it gently instead.

although i didn't understand what arble is, shave if it works for your face, and if it doesn't, it will always grow back. then try taking better care of it like no colours, no permanent treatments, and no frequent hairstyle changes. also use good products: i recommend Kerastase line and all this will make your natural hair look healthy and shiny and sexy
