I think so, because if you do want to go anywhere fast, it takes around 30 days to get one issued. Besides, it's good ID. And who knows when a friend might suggest a spontaneous trip, or you might win a holiday!

Yeh, get one. You will find it useful when it comes to jobs, bank accounts and ID etc. And you never know when you might need it. It is a hassle to wait around 6 weeks if you are in a hurry. They last 10 years and go up in price so go on....

No,from what you said i think it,s better you don,t get a passport but if you do decide to travel outside of the U.K,stick to the resorts of spain where you,ll get a full english and fish and chip,s everywhere and you will fit in fine.

I agree with your Brother - get it now - before the price rockets , even more...- did you know that you may now have to be interviewed by Mi5 - for your first passport. the way Britain is going - you might even want to do a bunk to Spain..etc..

There's not much point unless you intend travelling. Getting a passport can be done very quickly, if need be; they just charge you an extra fee.

Better to have one for emergencies - if you decide to go away at the last minute. I think it takes around 6 weeks to apply for one.
