well if it was me i would have him meet me i would not feel safe going out of town if that's the case. and go to the movies or something and have a few friends watching your back but they stay at a distance. and if you need help or things don't go smooth. it's all way's good to run into a friend when the date sucks.

Online dating can be scary but there are so many success stories now a days, I say go for it. My girlfriend met her husband online and they are married 6 years now and happy as can be. I met my boyfriend a year and a half ago online and we now live together, it's been over a year. What is right for some is not right for everyone but take a chance. I would advise you to be safe too, meet in public where there are a lot of people and have a backup plan if something goes wrong. Good luck!

hey i commend u for waiting this long, 4 years is long enough, it's time for u to see what he's all about, talk is cheap and actions speak louder then words, there is so much u can say over the computer over a long peroid of time or even over the phone as well......but BE CAREFUL!!!!! when/if u do meet him, try to meet up with him in a public place.
i've done the internet dating before it is just all about the person. so if u do, just watch ya self....have fun!

well its nothing wrong to date him,as u have been knowing him since 4 years so i think 4 years is enough to judge a person,get ahead and get to know this person in real,if he turns out to be of your expectation then good for u or else u can spend more 4 years in chatting with some other guys after him.....

If you have been communticating for 4 years, then it is OK to meet the guy. Not only OK, but you really should meet each other. After 4 years, you should both be mutually trusting enough to meet each other.

There are horror stories about dating/chatting on-line this is one habit to avoid. Four years, I'm sure you have a reason for not meeting him before now--think long and hard about your decision. Good luck.

First and fore most you have been talking to this guy for 4yrs,and I'll bet that you feel that you know him real good right? I'm sorry but I agree with your friends, you really do not know who this guy is, you know what he has told you but you really do not know for sure.
