hi there i certainly do not see this as being scared of commotting to a relationship its more like she is a strong independent young woman that is living her life as she chooses and doing all the things that she wants to do before settling down and having her family if that is what she wants ....if we are all really honest we all wish that we had done something before the kids came along and that doesnt mean that we didnt want our kids it is the way life is but this young lady wont ever have those thoughts ....lucky thing !! take care xx

Pretty normal stuff. I don't know what county/culture you come from, but here in the US more and more people are waiting until they are in their 30's before thinking about getting married or entering long-term relationships.

Maybe you are scared of commitments or getting hurt in a relationship. Maybe you want to do things in your life before you settle down. Being an old maid at 22? Not a chance. If you are in your 40's and still single, then you might be a candidate for Old Maidhood.

Hie Grace Well to me when a 22 years old girl does not want to commit in any relationship or being married then this is something normal, maybe she just doesn't want to commit herself in this because it could be that she is now currently facing some problems which she thinks this is more important then having a relationship or getting married, and when this happen it could be either her personal problem or family problem which she wants to solve it first and then she can think of this, so it is normal for a person who is 22 years old of age doesn't wants it. Try this and hope it might help you..................

ALL THE BEST...............

She sounds like a pretty young maid to me. You probably just have different priorities right now, and don't need a relationship to make you a whole person. Nothing wrong with that. Plenty of people only meet the right person later in life (and until they do, they don't feel like wasting their time with the wrong people).

It's perfectly normal. My brother is 24 and has no plans to get married anytime soon. He's too busy getting his bachelor's degree with a 4.0 GPA and travelling the world. Have fun and do everything you want to do while you're still single.

i don't think she is scared i think she is not ready to commit i also think she just wants to have a life of her own for now but later down the track her choices may become different and want different things

Perfectly normal - you choose your own route to happiness and forget what society says.

However, if you find yourself 60 years old with 17 cats then you should start worrying!
