If she was not arrested and convicted of the crime then presumably she has a clean record so can be a police officer. Surely the bank would have pressed charges against her if she had done this and if not why not? I would not want to entrust my money to a bank that does not prosecute employees for theft.

can you prove the allegation you have made against this person if so you are duty bound to report the facts to the local police authority.
if you cannot prove the allegations, and the bank or the police have not took the case to court to prove this so called fact , then the person you are talking about is completely innocent of any crime and as such is perfectly entitled to be a police officer.
how do we know you are in fact telling the truth and not just spreading malicious gossip. THE ONLY WAY IS THE COURTS NO CONVICTIONS , EVERYONE IS ASSUMED TO BE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVE GUILTY IN A BRITISH COURT OF LAW.
SO WE HAVE TO ASSUME that the police officer is blameless until the courts prove otherwise and therefore.
the old saying come in to force PUT UP OR SHUT UP

If you are sure of your facts put the name of the police officer in your question

Wilfredb is quite right. No such allegation is warranted without specifics. What you are doing here is maligning a serving Police Officer on hearsay, not evidence, possibly leading to a very dangerous outcome for you.

There is often a rotten apple in a barrel, I know that, I served alongside a corrupt Police Officer many years ago and he was caught, but unless you can prove your case, better to keep wise council.

Well she has no criminal record. I know it stinks but that is a fact of life. She is under no obligation to say I nicked a loud of money and I bet tthe bank did not give her a poor reference.
It does not do a bank any good to have the publicity of the trial od a memeber of staff for theft of this nature. the thought wouild be "Good God if they can not lok after my money I'm not banking with them" Many of you know how difficult it can be to prove that they have made an error at the best of times.

My sister in law was demoted for somethink similar it was years later that the real culprite was found .

I live in a small town and we see the same crap. A police officer marrying a coke whore, an alcoholic cop on leave(with pay might I add) after charges for groping women at a party mysteriously disappeared, etc...

This is the type of person that the Police Force is attracting these days. Bent coppers telling their bent friends and relatives to "come on in, the waters lovley!".They are not in it for the job but for the perks, and the public are suffering!

Absolutely disgraceful. Another cover up by corporate business and the Police by the sounds of it.

Of course not!!!!!

The person has previous for being dishonest and should not be a police officer. It brings into question the integrity of that person.

It seems unacceptable to me.
If she can take money from clients accounts how can she be trusted not to falsify evidence?
