ksph = keystrokes per hour
Data entry is entering information as opposed to typing and formatting a letter.
Ideally, 10K (thousand) is a shoe-in at most any businesses and equals 40-45 wpm (words per minute)
I've heard of employment agencies bringing people on who had as low as 6K but that equals about 25 words per minute.

I have never come across a job description that wants to know strokes per minute. WPM yes that's a given. I wold thing anywhere from 40-50 wpm would be good. I type about 60-70 wpm and my boss was completely impressed by that when he hired me. But I think 40-50 is a good median.

I don't know about keystrokes as I've never hired on that basis. But typical entry level typing speed would be 35 CORRECT words per minute. Most secretarial/adm assist type jobs will require 50 CWPM. It isn't just speed; it's accuracy.

It mainly depends on what type of data entry and for whom you're working for.
Data entry can be numeric or alpha only, or it can be alpha-numeric.
Keystroke requirements could range anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 kph or at least 50 wpm. The higher your keystrokes per hour, the better.

I think 60 WPM would be a good start. 40 WPM for minimum wage. but 80-100 would put you a cut above other applicants.

Anywhere from 40-60 words....correctly.... However the job itself that you are applying for usually indicates what they are looking for.
