I got home, got ready for bed and I turned out the light, but it wasn't totally dark because of the light on the building outside. I laid down in bed. I looked up at the ceiling and there were 2 hazy, white lights, one smaller then the other, that grew bigger really quickly as if they were far away floating closer. I was thinking of how strange it was. I was focusing more on the larger one, but could still see the other one that was to the left of it. I had the most horrifying feeling come over me. The light wasn't a light at all! It was a glowing face with the most evil and hate filled expression. It wanted to hurt me! As it came really close and before I knew it I dived out of my bed past the figures (i was screaming at the same time) and into the the room where my mother was sleeping. I woke up everyone. I was shaking for a while after and I couldn't shake the horror that I felt for a long time after until praying to god finally made me feel better. What did they want from me?

I believe in angels and I believe in demons as well. Keep praying to God and He will protect you. I don't know what they wanted but just keep a bible close and keep your prayers going before you go to sleep. I'll say a prayer for you too.

I believe in the unexplained, but I'm not crass enough to believe that such happenstances are always unexplainable.

Have you been hit on the head any lately? Brain swelling can cause such hallucinations, as can a number of other problems.

Were you able to move any? If not, it could be sleep paralysis. Sometimes, people experience waking dreams during these instances, and it becomes difficult to distinguish sleep and wakefulness during these.

If you made this up for attention (not trying to be insulting, but I've heard of it happening), then seek psychiatric help. If this is the case, I feel your pain.

And finally, if none of these add up, then consult yourself a priest. Demons and devils aren't something to be trifled with. Maybe somebody you know has been invoking dark things against you? If they have, they're terribly foolish. If these events ever transpire again, make sure to ask them why they're there. No guarantee of an answer, but if somebody is manipulating them, I would think logically they would give them up pretty easily.

That's assuming, of course, you believe in demonology. If you need to know more about demonology, look for "Goetia". It might answer a few more questions.

They are demons more than likely. Examine what you have been involved in lately, what kinds of books or movies you watch, if you are experimenting with anything occultish. Just remember, they might want to hurt you but they are powerless unless you give them power over you. That power could be encompassing fear. I had an encounter, real or imagined I don't know that made me afraid of the dark until I was 25 years old. Not just uneasy or deliciously scared...I really was terrified of the dark..I would have the sensation of being touched about the face and neck by cold clawing fingers, getting tangled in my hair and stuff. Truth is though...I figured that nothing had happened remotely like that in all my years on the planet. Nothing had pulled me beneath bed, no apparitions danced a jig in the doorway and no looming faces appeared in the mirrors or windows. Finally I attributed it to being taken to too many horror movies as a kid and being an avid Steven King fan since age 11. SO! Unknowingly we often invite the spirit of fear into our lives and then it doesn't leave when we want it to. Yet, all you have to do is realize that even if you do see another 2 glowing lights again...what the heck can a glowing light do to you? Slap ya around a little? Talk some smack? No...these demons hate you because you have physicality...they do not and covet or live vicariously through you so be mindful and pray...ask God to send His Holy Ones to encompass about you and shun everything that might result in evil being comfortable in your life...the shows you watch, the movies, the music you listen to, the books you read, stay in your Bible and pray and put your trust in God. This world is growing more rank and putrid with evil everyday...people don't even know where these manifestations of unease and depression or fear are coming from...Read Matt 24. Love in Christ, ~J~

Yikes! I would have been scared, too. Demons are powerful, but remember they don't want to kill you. They want you to turn away from God, and you can't do that if you're dead. Also, God is a lot more powerful than the demons, and the demons are well aware of that. I've been told that telling the demon, "Be gone, in the name of Jehovah," will get rid of it. Praying never hurts, either.

God does. Always ask the Lord to stay in your life and keep you safe from that which involves "ill will." The Lord will help you by protecting your soul. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Pray to the Arch Angel Michael, through the light of the Holy Spirit to protect you and cast out any and all evil spirits. Surround yourself with the Holy Spirit's white light. Arch Angel Michael is a warrior who fights evil. You can also get very mad that they would dare to show themselves to you, instead of be fearful, and cast them out yourself. Do all things by saying "through the light of the Holy Spirit." You will be amazed at the results.

I was attacked by a demon 18 years ago. Like you it came at me while I was in bed but I wasn't lucky enough to escape like you did. I started praying out loud but the attack went on for a long time, almost an hour, and it was completely terrifying. I can understand your feeling of horror. You ask what did they want...well I can tell you what the scumbag who went after me wanted - he tried to convince me to abandon Christ and worship Satan. I had to pray with all my strength to drive this dark intention away, and even after it was all over I could still "taste" this disgusting image in my mind. I had to pray for a long time before it was gone. It's possible that is what the demon you encountered would have tried to do to you if you hadn't got out of there so fast. Count yourself lucky they didn't actually get into your head.

They can't hurt you. They feed off of your fear, when you don't trust in God or call on His name, they will be forever present.

You need to keep God in remembrance.

Don't think that if you just ignore them, they'll go away. You should get your priest or whatever person you believe could put a blessing in your room to do so.

Demons want you to doubt God and His power, they will stand as much as they can so that your faith will fade and they can "prove," to you that they're more real than God can ever be...or that He doesn't exist, or that He doesn't have the power that they do.

Lou C has good advice all so,above me

more likely ghosts not demons, are extremely rare

i take it that you are young, and negative ghost attack a lot of people and usually attack young people are called [poltergeists].i suggest you put some religious pictures around your room ,and pray to your guardian angel before you go to sleep to keep you safe.all so surround your self in a bubble of white light mentally, like the force field on star trek.

if it persists ,you may need more advanced help from a good psychic ,to clean your aura, and DE haunt your house.ghosts feed on fear, and like to scare the eek out of people ,most times they are harmless, and just want to communicate.ghost bug me all the time, but they are ....boring.

if it get worse you can get professional help of this type
