Yes, if you get too worked up about something your stomach starts producing acid. If the acid gets too bad you can get heartburn, upset stomach, nausea or you can barf.

Yes. You have to be pretty dang anxious, but yes. Two years ago I was having all these crazy anxiety problems, and I threw up every day for over a week. It sucked (although I did lose weight without trying!). And then my mom did something she felt really bad about, and she threw up because of it. So yeah, from personal experience.

It is possible.
When you feel extremely anxious your body starts the "fight or flight" response. Humans have adapted from times when danger meant that we might have to run away from a dangerous animal or stay and fight a predator. Even though now days the threat may not be physical, our bodies still react the same way. Chemicals are released by your brain into your bloodstream (such as adrenaline) that tells your body that there is danger and get you prepared to fight or run away. Blood temporarily redirected to your heart (racing heart) lungs (fast breathing) and muscles (feeling tense) and away from non-essential places like your skin (looking pale) and digestive system (feeling of butterflies in the stomach or nausea). Digestion slows down or stops for a little while and this can make some people feel the urge to vomit.

Anxiety can cause queasiness, and queasiness can also trigger anxiety in people who tend to be anxious. Any time you have a loop like that--called a "positive feedback loop"--the syptoms can get more and more intense, until someone is very anxious and very nauseous. So for some people, yes, anxiety alone can make them throw up. Most of us just get "butterflies in our stomachs," which is a sort of mild pre-queasiness.

Yes! It is not fun at all! The only time in 7 years that I threw up was when I was leaving home for the first time. The night before I left I was so anxious/nervous that it all come back up.

Well yeah, anything that gets you emotionally worked up can make you physically ill. Crying, being mad, any emotion in overkill makes you sick.
