If you praise God for all of the good things and say things like "It's God's will", why don't you blame him for ALL of the bad things. You know. Floods and Hurricanes and Wars. When your house, built on a flood plain is floating, your prayers are being ignored, why don't you put the blame on the one who is controlling everything and needs you to love him or else!
Are you afraid? I'm not!

Here's how it works... I know you've heard this before.
God gave man free will and man chose to sin. Sin is the cause of the evil int he world. God gave of himself that the penalty of sin is paid for those who will accept it.
Living in a sinful world means crime death and destruction.
It is the fault of sin not the fault of God who gives us the opportunity to live in a perfect paradise by coming to the world and offering his perfect flesh as payment for our sins.

I think blaming things or God or whatever isn't a mature attitude to life when you're not seeing things clearly. Sometimes, we ourselves make mistakes, A lot even. The problems like hurricanes, wars, floods are virtually man-made now. It's the so-called manufactured risks or disaster. If it's not man-made than the floods or hurricanes are very normal phenomenas of the earth. Those natural disasters or manufactured ones indicate the responses of the earth as to how the people living on it have been treating her. Think about it.

In response to what you said about the floods, hurricanes or whatever, we can start with ourself. For example, by trying to donate to those non profit organizations or you can even make your own contributions like by planting more trees in your backyard or using materials that are more environmentally friendly or stuff.

Personally, i think we're not trying to blame things here. We're trying to solve problems. We have already had so much and so complex problems around us. Do you wanna add another complex problem by blaming everyone or those in control or whatever? I don't mean that those in control, for instance, the president who really likes to make wars, make no mistakes. They certainly make really serious mistakes. Then, again, what can we do? Blaming or solving problems? Not only has the blaming attitude not helped us solve any problem, it has also being causing so much subsequent consequences that will arise out of it in the future, in chain-kind of reactions. So, why don't we just put into your good ideas into actions of things need to be done or solve?

If we keep blaming everything, then we ourselves will be the source of another problems. So, it's not worth it.
In fact, we've being doing blaming for ages! And, there's nothing good out of it. It does only pile up problems and problems and problems. So, you can think about this, calm-mindedly. Be cool. ;)

God doesn't sin. People sin and do evil things. These are just natural things that happen. God doesn't send them. We need to take responsibility for our own dumb actions like building houses on flood plains or on earthquake lines or right smack on the beach. I don't blame God for the bad things that happen to me. Satan does these things and God saves me from them by helping me get through the things that happen to me. I've made it through three hurricanes just fine even though I lost a house in one and damge in the other two. I'm still here and living in a nice house once agian. So, he's not all that bad.

Look at the world in all its sin. If I were God I would send hurricanes, and floods to. Trials make us look to him for guidance when we get out of line. He is not punishing us, but chastising us for our disobedience. Just as your earthly father spanked you, or puts you in time out when you didn't obey him, or told lies, our heavenly father also will put us in a time out. This way we can hear him, and know that he is truly God even in the darkest times of our life. And through all this he will always make a way of escape for his children. Our prayers are not ignored, sometimes God says yes, sometimes no, and the worst of all,"not right now". Waiting on God can be hard, but after the wait is over the blessings mean much more to you then, than they did when you first asked the prayer. Gods timing is perfect. I would not blame God for a storm or natural disaster, because through everything God is still God, and there is a lesson to be learned.

It usually works the other way around.

People forget about God when things are good, but when bad things happen they tend to blame God.

Just look at all the posts on this forum. How many times an hour do you see something to the effect of "How could a loving God allow _____ to happen?" People are much more comfortable blaming God than they are thanking him. By thanking him, they are giving up some of the credit for their accomplishments.

God gave men free will, to make their own choices in life, unfortunately alot of the choices that man makes are selfcentred, and evil therefore this brings suffering in the world, wether its someone doing you harm or corporates or governments putting greed & profit over the planet, and the peoples well being causing ozone damage causing dangerous weather patterns and hardship ect, God is not responsible, prayers may not be answered the way you want, sometimes we need to go through pain to grow, God knows this.

Should I blame God also for having rich people build expensive homes in California only to have them be wrecked by earthquakes and have tax payer's money used to rebuild their "rich," communities?

How about blaming God for giving Albert Einstein a brain intelligent enough to make the atomic bomb, or for giving gun manufacturers the ability to have the funds from people in need of such devices like police men, military personnel, and security officers...but then "accidentally," have them guns be sold on the streets in the "black market" to kids...

Yeah, let's blame GOD and never take any responsibility on ourselves for our actions that affect the world.

You may think one person doesn't affect the world, but when there are MANY people who think and act alike...it's like an army of either good or bad people submitting the world to the consequences of their deeds.

Some of life's tragedies are made by bad decisions like war, crime, hate, etc. God teaches us right and wrong but gives us free will to make our own decisions. I cannot control someone else's poor judgment - only my own.

As for "natural disasters" God created the world to be perfect but man's sin destroyed not only his own soul but the world around him. Adam and Eve didn't even have to water the flowers in the Garden of Eden; but their sin caused everything to be cursed (think how global warming was caused by man's decisions about industrialization).
God gave us a perfect envionment and we destroyed it.

By the way, the Bible teaches us to praise God in ALL things - the good and the bad - not because of what has happened but because HE IS GOD.

Everything that happened has a purpose. He allow things to happens for a reason. Maybe a lesson in life, which is to trust Him despite of circumstances. His ways is not your ways and His thought is not your thought.
