You should clearly understand the the meaning and philosophy behind Draupadi having 5 husbands. We have to understand the morals of these happening and not worry for anything else. What is the significance of Drupadi getting 5 husbands ? -
Actually the reason behind Draupadi having 5 husbands is told that in her previous birth she performs severe penances to please Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva appears before her & says he will bestows her a boon. Draupadi says she wants a husband who is amster archerer, the epitome of truth, the be very handsome, pateint and very stong. Since all these qualities can't be dound in one person, Shiva says that she will have 5 virtuous husbands in her next birth. The moral here is what powers man should posses.
Secondly, At a symbolic level we can say that the Pandavas represent the daivika sampat, and the Kauvaras represent the asura sampat. While Arjuna represents the Jeeva, the other four Pandavas represent the four purusharthas: Yudhishtira representing the ethical values (Dharma), Bhima representing material values (artha), Nakula the social values (Kama), and Sahadeva the spritual values (Moksha). Draupadi symbolizes intellect depending on nothing in the world except the Supreme Self. They are led by the Divine Self of Krishna to the ultimate Goal. - So Draupadi in marrying 5 brothers of Pandavas got Daiveka Sampat as above.
The five Pandava brothers agreed by consensus to spend time with Draupadi by taking turns, the eldest one, Yudhishtira being the first. Draupadi bore five sons, one from each of her husbands in five consecutive years. Some of the Pandavas were to take in additional women as their wives later, but Draupadi remained the favorite queen.
There is one occasion when Arjuna forgot his weapon in his brother's house and had to interrupt an intimate moment. He was punished according to the covenant the Pandavas establish and went to vanvas or Varnaprastha for 12 years.-
So please concentrate on the morals of he epic and not on other incidents-

First and foremost Mahabharata is an epic story.
In the olden days, all morals, ethics and rules were taught metaphorically. It is better than today where they tell you the rules without any reasoning.
Anyway Metaphorically what it means is that:
In a perfect world all characteristics are to be combined for a healthy life and future. point to be noted is that each of the brothers had a different skill and characteristic.
it was Draupadi who brought it together to fight the evil (Kauravas). Another point to be noted is that all the brothers got angry when Draupadi was insulted. If she was married only to one brother, maybe only he would have been insulted.
Anyway in those days Polyandry and Polygamy was a part of life.
About the question of who was in and who was out, they had a prescheduled calendar.

First keep this in mind. Mahabharath is a History where the Humanbeings lived together with the Extrordinary beings of this Universe.
Draupadhi and her Husbands belong to the second category. I think you should read the story once again (atleast the Adi parva). Then you will know what happens.
The pandavas after coming out of Eka Chakra where they were hiding after the Wax palace incident, hear the news of a swayamvara for Panchali. So they go there and win her. In those days it was a culture that the girl would be given as Kanya Dhan and the male will bring her to his place and then mary.
Pandavas were staying at a hut at the time as Brahmins in hiding, and it was the time they usually bought alms. so as soon as they knocked, a tiered Kunti, who dint know what was waiting told them to share amongst themselves. Strictly speaking, this was not the reason for all 5 to marry Panchali.
They have a discussion. Yudhishtir was not married. He was the eldest. without the eldest being married, the youngers wont.(Bheemas marraige which happened earlier wont count as she was a demoness). But Arjuna had won her. So Krishna is the one who suggests this. Krishna knows reasons behind what he speaks. Then Vyasa convinces Drupada that her girl is no ordinary and is the form of the femnine part of the five devine natural forces, who were in the form of Pandavas here. So the marraige takes place.
After this all 5 take a oath in the presence of Narad and Draupadhi that, Panchali will live with one of them each year and by the end of the year she will win a fire test and come to live with the other. If by any chance, when Draupadhi is with one of them and the other enters, the other will go out as a Varnaprastha in to forest for 12 years. That is what happens to Arjuna, when he by mistake enters into the room when Dharma and Draupadhi or together.
When we see these in a divine perspective, we will understand them better.

King Drupada father of Draupadi held a test to select the Groom for his daughter. Arjuna came out successful by shooting the arrow into the eye of a moving fish.
Both Bhima and Arjuna return home along with Draupadi. Without entering the home, standing At the entrance, Arjuna says that they have brought Biksha (alms given to the seekers). Kunti, their mother without ,looking or seeing at them immediately says to share among all 5 brothers. After seeing the bride she realises, they can not share one bride. Later after discussions and analysing the rules of Dharma, it was decided that all 5 brothers will marry her and she will be spending 1 year with each one by rotation.
When a person can marry more than one woman, and the same is accepted by society, why hue and cry when a woman does this? Both Lord Krishna and Dharmaraja gave the reasons why it can be done. The then contemporary society accepted it. We can not apply present rules and draw conclusions

As someone else is suggesting that you are a Muslim and I shouldn't answer your question. I do not agree with that gentleman. The reason is if someone wants to know more about another religion there is no harm in it. YES, if you are trying to make fun out of it, you will face the repercussions of it and not others.
As someone has already suggested that the years were distributed among the brothers and MOST importantly - Draupdi was not involved in any physical relationships with other four brothers. She was just taken care of by them and this was the crux of it that When the mother asked the brothers to share something they obeyed her like anything. I hope I have maed my point clear.

Kunti wanted somehow to keep the integrity of the brothers .If each will marry separatly to different girls there will be misunderstanding in the women and resultantly the brothers and the unity is broken.kunti knew that a single woman like draupadi was enough to handle the five brothers.

if we have one custom, others have another. even now there is one community in north where a girl is married to more than one person but among brothers. probably, at the time of mahabharath, this custom was prevailing i think. if there was no such custom, kunti would not have suggested that, i believe. another point i want to make is, of course this is no way connected to mahabharatha, if a man can have 4 wives, why can't a woman have more than one husband. is it a proved thing that men have 4 times of sex than woman that is why they can have 4 wives?

Mahabharata is a real story. But we have to decode the verses to understand. There are several verses that, which have two or more different meanings. Even the births of Pandavas happened at Himalayas with the help of NIYOGA.
Not that by chanting Mantras of deities.
The customs and rituals were different at that time. We must not judge them by our perception, and on the basis of present definition of DHARMA.
But your curiosity is genuine and natural. Anyone can have such doubts. But one who studies the Mahabharata to understand the reality, he have to study it honestly.
Even today there are such families on the mountain valleys of Himalayas, in which, there is such a custom in practise, where all the brothers marry a girl and leading happy life.
Regarding their social behaviour, there are some rules to follow to get the physical relation with that wife.
Kunti put such rules upon her five children.
My conclusion is that, you have to study more about the Mahabharata. For that, I suggest you to read the book PARVA written by Dr.S.L.Bhirappa.

that time people were not same as today's people , who understand that wife is nothing but a machine of entertainment. that time there was a purpose of marriage . and that was
a. as sex with wife was done only for producing the childrens , hence Maan Draupdi had five childrens
b. purpose of meeting of two soul's by feelings , love and not by sex . could you Love your wife by doing sex only , if yes then i think love is not understood by you. because sex can not do that job. have you seen your soul if not then how can you meet with your wife's soul
c. that time people had so much respect of mother that Her command is supreme , hence they had strong feeling of motherly love.
with the above three points what is the problem , if five brothers had same wife.
so please if we people can not be like them , let us respect them. your question is valid and i like your question , but we should take lesson from pandavas , at least we can understand the purpose of marriage and the relation of husband wife
