I mean, wouldn't that be getting close to blasphemy against the Holy Spirit - the unpardonable sin?
Is this why so many Christians still believe, even though it has been proven that the Piso (Sworn enemies of Julius Caesar) family wrote all of the Gospels and created the character Jesus and the religion of Christianity to regain control over the masses?
When it all comes out and it is finally proven conclusively that Christianity was just made up, will Christians be able to even comprehend it?
If not, is this a sign of deep brainwashing? If a Christian claims that Christianity is true and Jesus is true, just like gravity or their frienships with people are true - then does that mean that they're insane?

Lol not sure what kind of brainwashing your affected by.
Jesus Christ is lord I have this not only by faith but by revelation of God.These who love and seek the truth (Christians) know God by his revelation. You can call your shrink but his test will not make you happy there have been believers before there were doctors and before the shrinks had test, There are many of these who also know the lord.
If it gives you comfort to think that those who know God are crazy enjoy your delusion.

Dear Burninator,
First let me say that everyone that is a Christian was at one point a non-Christian- and so it's not fair for non-Christians to make such a broad generalization that people who became Christians have not examined the evidence and do not think for themselves or understand the reasons why they believe what they believe.
There are cults who brain-wash people. In terms of the "Piso" theory- it is quite unfounded with no substantial evidence-- and the point being that people don't necessarily draw these conclusions because someone told them- but because they've studied it. There are many false theories about Christianity that have been proven false.
Incidentally the Bible does not prohibit questioning- in fact when Thomas doubted- jesus helped him with his unbelief- by revealing Himself to Thomas-- God meets us where we are-- this has been the experience of many Christians.
Your question is when it all comes out and is conclusive? The point is people hvae been trying for centuries and haven't been able to. My point is that: you add "will they be able to comprehend it." (This assumes that Christians don't think or examine things). Many of us do and i think you have to accept that people have just come to a different conclusion than you-- that doesn't make them (unable to comprehend information which contradicts Christianity-- there just hasn't been any "real substantial proof" to examine.
You may think Christianity is insane. But not only is the Bible historically, arachealogically sound and proven-- but it also is experientially sound. It talks about those who resist the Holy Spirit and consider the gospel foolishness (those are those who have refused to put their trust in Christ and the Bible says they are those who if their lives are not turned around- are heading towards a path of destructiion (perishing).
Anyhow i respectfully disagree with you- but am making a point that Christians vary in how much they've studied why they believe what they believe- but to make a broad general statement and to affirm its truthfulness based on your personal knowledge is a bit presumptive. There are many Christians who solidly know why they believe what they believe and it's not based on what others have just told them but from personal study.
Kindly,
Nickster

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those of us who are being saved it is the power of God." Ofcourse a Christian can find himself conceiving of the idea that Christ was not Christ. That is pretty much the definition of temptation. The enemy has the ability to project all kinds of temptation into our minds, even if he can't hear what we think. The message of Christianity is certainly one that makes little sense to "the world" (those who have not personally met Jesus), ---Love your enemy? Why? Give freely? Why? Lay down your life in service to others? Why? Live in the Spirit, denying the flesh? Why?, but to those of us who have experienced that peace and joy that passes all understanding, it IS in fact the only real purpose in life. Christianity, the way it was intended to be practiced, is basically the expression of love for those in the world who are hurting in whatever way. It is not the condemnation of the world by those claiming to be Christians. For those who have embarrassed the faith by preaching in anger or hate, I offer my apologies. Those are not the ways of Christ. It is not our function as Christians to save people. It is our function to live as Chritians and offer ourselves, as Christ did, a living sacrifice, through whom God can do the work of saving people for Himself. Every time we "boast in our own understanding" (1 Cor) or "judge the world" (1 Cor), we bring a reproach upon the Lord and ourselves.
On another note, I am curious as to why so many self proclaimed aetheists can be found preaching so vigorously in forums such as this. If spirituality really is just a bunch of bologna, why not just let the foolish little believers believe? If there is nothing threatening there, why fight so earnestly against it?
Also, How will it "be proven conclusively that Christianity was just made up"? People have been devoting their lives to that end for 2000 yrs. I think it unlikely that, if we are wrong, anyone will ever be able to proove that it is false. But if we are right, we will be prooved right. One can not proove faith except by good works. It is how we live that tells the story.

Very good question! I am a Christian but have doubted a lot about the same things. I realized what I doubted was man's ideology of Christianity but I have a solid faith in Jesus Christ himself. The word "Christian" means "Christ-like" not man-like.
Religion is man-made. God is about Life: the creator and the redeemer of our lives.

Of course it is.
Countless people apostasise from Christianity every single day.
Of course the threats of eternal damnation for even thinking about doubting are aimed squarely at promoting blind, unthinking, mindless faith - but those with integrity will always question and many will come to know the truth that Jesus does not exist.

surely yes because christian has many ideology and one idology sometimes are underestimate the other ideology and they said thet the doctrine was wrong.
Of course we can because not every christian understand what God's will and they just mingle the words of the bible with their own opinion.
But actually many doctrine must completing the other doctrine so it'll be perfect

Forget all that you've read! Can you deny that being cool to other people is right? That's the message that the guy was trying to send out! The bible is just a book written and re-written by generations. Follow the spirit, not the word!

its not always a good idea to refer to the alternative media i find it funny that people will dimiss the bible so quickly stating it is to old to authenticate, even though it has been, but are so quick to use information from the same time period to attack it and anyway i would rather live my life as a good christian even if i could be wrong then live my life as a non-christian and then be wrong about that. yalla bye

I believe in the Living God, the only God Jesus Christ, and I will not be persuaded. My God was not a fictional character, he is real. I am not brainwashed, just assured of my final destiny. I have peace, love, faith, and knowledge in my Lord.
