95% of the perceptions that many people have of Hinduism are all misconceptions. Many people think of Hinduism as being a caste system, they think that we consider the cow to be a deity, They think that we believe God to be stone, they think that we, by worshipping a pantheon of gods, are denying the existence of one God. All of which in nonsense. People like to skim the surface but they don't like to explore deeper. They fail to take into account that much objects of worship (such as the lingam) only play a symbolic role. Moreover their knowledge of Hinduism is limited. They don't know anything about the vedas (many ignorant fools seem to think that the Gita is our holy bible) or the fact that we have 55 bibles in our religion and that each Hindu bible is bigger than the Koran and the bible combined. They know nothing of the science, maths, astronomy, philosophy, biology and all other science and arts that our holy books contain. They don't know that Hinduism, in terms of its content, is bigger than all the other religions in the world put together.
Many people who bash Hinduism, like Muslims, are hypocrites. They love to use verses in the upanishads that refer to Mohammed, but at the same time they always criticise Hinduism.

Muslims and Christians have become mad over the years. They are always killing each other, destroying others religions and love to spread hate about others good religions. They are greedy and thieves. Because their minds are full of anger and they even preach their Gods are angry and call him names as per examples of this questions and answers. This is the result of eating Cows. God has blesesed the Hindus from this madness. So do turn to Hinduism if you wish to have a peaceful brotherly existnence in this world. Just as we are trying to save this planet ecologically let us also turn to spirituality and turn to Hinduism and have a peaceful and loving world. Let go of all that anger and violience and hate. Say Aum and be at peace with your self. I hope that answers your first question. As to the second part "Besides all this, the servants of Huram and Solomon, who had brought gold from Ophir, brought also cargoes of algum wood and precious stones . . . The like of them had never before been seen in the land of Judah. . . . The king had a fleet of ships plying to Tarshish with Hurram's men; once every three years this fleet of merchantmen came home, bringing gold and silver, ivory, apes, and monkeys." (2 Chronicles 8,9, New English Bible, The Bible Societies, 1970, pp.324-5) The above Passage from the Old Testemant refers to 'Ophir'. This mysterious land has been identified by some scholars as Bharat itself. The Solomon in the above extract was King of Israel, of the Jews. Like the Hindus, Jews are an ancient people, and with the above passage, the relations between the two are very old indeed. The far-sighted observer might then bemoan how this has not been utilised to the mutual benefit of both. Aum Shanti

I hate as little as possible.
I occasionally hate the effects of all religions, but I never hate the people that are religious just because they are religious. In fact, I try to hate no one, even people that hurt me, because it doesn't accomplish anything good.
Reread your details, sweetie. Reread what you said about a religion that is different from your own.
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world..."
One of the best quotes I've ever heard, from a Hindu man that many respect and admire.

There is no religion by the name "Hindu"ism"---Sanaathana Dharmam has only been given the name Hindu"ism" by west Asians, living on the western banks of "Sindhu" river.--99.9% of Sanathana Dharmam Religious texts talk that "Divinity" is there in all the living and non-living things around us---like "Namastay Vaayo- Twam eva Prathyaksham Brahmaasi'="salutations to you O! pure air!!-you are verily the God I am able to feel ,because you are (Oxygen) my life supporter.....that kind of things only --Why people should hate this Baby?!!
This Dalit issue is a flaw in Social Order not Religious aberation.African-Americans were brought as slaves once and today they enjoy Equal Rights with other Americans but do not have any special previlleges which are not available to Americans. But thanks to dr.B.R.Ambedkar,an intellectual giant in law,23% of setas in all Professional, ordinary colleges, in all Govenment Jobs are reserved for Dalits only.(in Education and Govenment jobs 68% are reserved for Dalits, backward ,most back ward classes.only 32% is reserved for merit.Dalits and backward classes can also compete for Merit seats but reserved seats will not be given to forward castes ,even if they are lying vacant.Ambedkar wanted reservation only for 15 years.but even after 50 years the Government has not removedd the reservation qouta. So dalits are enjoying life with only 35% marks whereas forward caste people do not get admissions even if they scor 99% marks.

I've noticed that too around here. I'm not a hindu myself but I know a bit about it, and I'm as puzzled as you are.
I mean aside from how the Dalits are treated, it has a lot going for it as a religion.
I'll guess it's just people fear what they know nothing about?

Child, I don't hate Hindus and I've never bashed them. I find them most times to be more pleasurable to be around than members of my own faith. Anyone who could kill anyone simply because of their religion, as you say muslims kill Hindus, are hopefully a dying breed of parasites.
Be strong and ignore the buttheads.

0.05% questions may be bashing hinduism and that too are posted by Indian or Pakistani muslims
Hinduism is a great and tolerant religion and no one hates them, you are mistaken
Hindus are the only people who never attacked any culture or country for spreading their religion.

I imagine that it's religious people of other faiths who are bashing Hinduism. I think it generally has a positive image. Christians and Muslims will pretty much bash any religion that isn't theirs, what with them having a monopoly on the truth and all.
