I ask many questions-not just on here, but in real life, too. I haven't had much experience with things. People get annoyed because they say I ask questions people my age should already know. But if you've never experienced things or have never been told, then how would you know?

The only question that is stupid is the one that goes unasked,.

Ah... If you ask the same question over and over... that's stupid. If you ask a question that could be answered with a quick hit on google or wikipedia... that's stupid. But if you are looking for the benefit of experience that you've not had then I'd say that is a very smart question. Most of us don't have the ability to learn from others experiences but it is nice to have the information anyway!

Asking questions simply for the sake of asking questions is wrong and immature. It is a way of getting attention, NOT information. You are deceiving yourself and others by wasting time this way.

You may learn things in other ways than having EXPERIENCE or asking questions. For instance, think up a question, then look it up on the computer by using the "search". Read about the subject and learn. THEN YOU WILL KNOW!! Learn lots of things and people will be happy to have you in conversation and not feel like they are being quizzed by some kid which nothing better to do.

I'm sure there will be MANY thumbs down or tsk tsk's to this answer, but dear, it is true; and by following my advice you will learn a lot and be a welcome guest; and not considered a total Air Head like most question askers you describe are.
Good luck. (I'm really not mean, but I do tell the truth)

Yes, it's wrong to ask a stupid questions. But your questions are not stupid the way you explained it. You just wanna know what you dont know and there's nothing wrong with that. Though others may say you ask a stupid question, but honestly you really dont know it, then its not a stupid question.

For example, if you ask "What's the meaning of USA?" If you really don't know the meaning of USA, its not a stupid question, though others may think so.

No, there's nothing wrong with that. If you never asked, how would you learn? It's good that you want to know more and if you haven't experienced/heard much about something then it's great that you ask rather than stay ignorant.

You stay stupid if you do not ask questions. It is only stupid to not ask questions. Asking questions on here is perfect-ignore those comments. People only learn by asking and by doing. Everyone was born without knowledge. Don't let negative comments get you down.

It isn't wrong, but it usually doesn't bring any results. Try asking your family and very close friends stupid questions, they know you better and will be more patient to you than those who answer at Yahoo! answers

stupid is, as stupid does.....ask away. We love "stupid" questions ! Where else can you ask an intelligent question, and get a stupid answer. That's part of the fun !

i believe there is no stupid question...........i admire people that want to learn and know about things....it shows that the person wants to know and learn. please do not change because people get annoyed with you, think that maybe they do not know the answer themselves or are too lazy to help another person. . i also believe that one should ask questions and then decide if the answer is correct or fits into your life......be proud to learn and enjoy learning...life in its self is a learning process, regardless of age or experience.... good for you ..................

If you don't know and want to know it isn't a stupid question.

I wouldn't worry about it but do listen to the answers and remember what they were, so you won't have to ask them again.
