whether your left or right handed dose not always determin your master eye.
I my self am right handed but left eye dominant.
When using a rifle with sights i dont supose it makes and diference to which eye you use.
To determin the dominancy of your eyes,,
pick your self an abject about 6yards away the with ether hand, point at it.
The arm must be eye level when pointing.
As your pointing, point down your arm as though its the barrel of a gun close one eye then the othere.
With your dominant eye your target will re main in line of sight with your point,, it will not with your week eye.
Should neather produce an off fucused view, then there as good as each other.

When I was in basic they had us close one eye, use our hand to make a small hole to look through and focus on the smallest object we could clearly see. Then they had us change eyes and refocus, wichever eye was clearest was dominant and that was the eye we used to shoot even if it meant not using our dominant had. Your hand can be trained, but your eyesight will not improve.

Take a piece of paper make a hole in the centre of it the size of a dime.hold it between thumb and forefinger of both hands .with arms straight out slowly bring paper toward your face while looking with both eyes at an object through the hole over 20 ft. away. The dime size hole will be over your master eye when paper touches face.--Some people shoot with their non dominant eye, favouring instead a position of comfort in handling a gun.

With both eyes open and your hand close to your face, point at something. You will see two fingers, close your eyes one at a time and whichever is pointing at the correct object is dominant.

If youre shooting a rifle you need to use the eye that's on the same side as the cheek that rests on the stock. Otherwise its kinda awkward to aim properly.

Wink, as if you are winking to someone. Which eye did it feel more natural to close? Your other eye is the dominant one. The dominant one naturally stays in control of vision while the other, the spare, can afford to close and stop taking in visual information.
