I agree with you confusion is very potent weapon of the enemy. There are two ways (at least) that the evil one attacks us. First he tries to confuse our intellect. The confusion takes many forms, but it is all directed at one great delusion - that Christ is not God. To convince someone of this is the evil ones greatest victory. If he fails at this, he then moves on to other things such as making one think that Christ will not forgive their sins because they are too great, or he confuses us about what is a sin and what isn't, or that prayer is a waste of time, and so on. Secondly he will attack the will. Your intellect may be perfectly informed about Christ, sin, the Church, etc., but the evil one can still tempt you to sin...this is what happened to Eve. She had perfect knowledge of God and his commands, yet she was still deceived by the serpent. We must be on our guard and pray at all times.

Confusion has always been an excellent weapon. If someone is confused they do not know where to look or go.
In a Physical battle if you can confuse your enemy you have won half the battle. It is much easier to take out an enemy that is not sure what to do next or who to listen to.
The same is true spiritually, there are many voices out there beckoning you to follow and by following you will be happy, skinny, wealthy, saved or what ever. When people are spiritually confused they often take the path of least resistance which is generally the wrong path to be on.
How do you beat confusion. Ultimately you ask for help. James 1:5-6. Ask and you shall receive knock and it shall be open unto you.

I think you're on the right track there, what better way would there be for someone to get sidetracked than by confusion and discouragement and lack of Bible knowledge?And unfortunately it is working there are more on the enemy side than on the true God's side, but as long as there is even one on the side of the true God the enemy can't totally win, this is why he is frantically working and very hard, to achieve his goal of turning away every single person from the true God.

I'm not Christian but frankly I don't see what Christianity has do with this question. But if you do want to stick within the religious realm of things i do believe that using ones religion to justify harmful and deadly actions is being widely done by the "enemy" (I have interpreted the use of the word enemy to mean what is going on in the Middle East) Now if you are speaking in terms of people whom are not Christian and trying to "confuse" people of a Christian faith by trying to lure them away from their beliefs, then that is a different story.

6:8. They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If We did send down an angel the matter would be settled at once and no respite would be granted them
6:9. If We had made it an angel We should have sent him as a man and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion
51:7. By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths
51:8. Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant
51:9. Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded
51:10. Woe to the falsehood-mongers
51:11. Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion

Faith is personal and requires much work and focus.. Pray without ceasing as the saying goes. If a person becomes confused, he/she can study, dialogue with others, pray and disperse the "fog." The enemy would be false pride, ego, selfishness, anger, et al which are internal qualities either harbored or quickly swept away by each individual.

Yes. Theological confusion has always been a tactic used by the Evil One. However, I don't think confusion is the #1 weapon. I believe the lie of compromise is.

just one of many.
read ephesians6:10-18........full armor of god.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[fn3] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Eph 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Eph 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints"
deceit being at the top of the list also.
2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ [as] coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist."
Rev 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. "

You can only be confused if you allow yourself to be. Christians stand strong in their faith and don't question what has been laid before them. If this is the case, the "enemy" cannot succeed in confusion.

Who is the enemy you are talking about??? Satan? The Antichrist? There has been confusion since the beginning of time- Satan has no need to use weapons....we have a sinful nature...all he has to do is sit back and let nature take its course!
