admit it over 90% of the stuff in the "news", are BAD news. nothing good ever happens in the news.

and its always disturbing when reading about some plane that crashed or whatever, because deep inside you know something like that can happen to you

so why read news? like me, I don't read news anymore. I stay at home all day, troll on YA!, watch videos on youtube (happy videos), eat some smilies potatoes, have some apple juice and go to bed. why focus on negative news?

I am different from the others....sorry. No, actually I'm not. I choose not to watch the negative news either. I do not bury my head in the sand and believe you me I am very aware of what goes on in the World. Just watching and listening to people everyday gives me enough information.

You sound depressed. No wonder the news pulls you down even more. You're not eating very healthily either! I think if you get out and go for a walk you might feel a bit better at the end of the day.

By all means, don't watch the news if it depresses you .. I recommend cartoons actually - but don't think it's the news that's pulling you down. It sounds like you are already down and the news is just one more thing. Do hope you will try to pick yourself up, perhaps talk to someone about this now, the longer you wrap yourself up in depression, the worse you feel. Cartoons, exercise, healthy eating, lots of water, creative stuff like art music dancing .. there are lots of little ways to pick yourself up.

And yes the news will always be full of disasters .. that's the news that sells. But the world is not a total lost cause and there are tons of people doing amazing positive things that will never make it to the news headlines - look for them and you'll find them around you or on the net - and you'll be amazed how inspired and hopeful and fired up you can get.

Good luck with it all!

It's okay to withdraw from the world, but it's also good to be informed, especially because there are things happening in the world that will affect you and people you know and even people you don't know. Hiding your head in the sand won't make that go away. Doing something about what's wrong can make you feel more empowered. There is good happening along with the bad, that's just the way the world is. Good news just isn't "news" so no one seems to want to hear about it much. I like hearing about both, but that's just my personal preference.

YOU ARE SO CORRECT THAT 90% OR HIGHER! IS ALWAYS "BAD".
IN MY OWN OPINION TO YOUR QUESTION- I THINK YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING BY NOT TURNING IT ON OR LISTENING TO IT AND DOING YOUR "HAPPY" THINGS!!!!!!!!
DOING "HAPPY" THINGS IS A BIG PART OF WHAT TRUE LIVING IS ALL ABOUT!
YOU GO GIRL & KEEP UP THE SAME AS YOU HAVE BEEN DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
