Your father watches over you, and is concerned about you, he still seeks to guide you from where he is, he knows you have been depressed, and wants to help, you sought him out as a figure representing authority, guidance, and protection...the store represents choices you need to make to have a better and more fulfilling life, but you have not entered the store, you are in the parking lot, you are "parked", seeking a period of rest and renewal, before making those choices, you are so happy because you found a period of rest with loved ones.....If you have this dream in the future, try to notice anything that you may put in the shopping basket, it may offer clues...

A dream of your father is a sign to take advice from an older person. If he's healthy in the dream, you will benefit from someone's support. Running and jumping usually means that you need to have patience in a tricky situation.

Ok, I don't really know how to interpret your dream, but I also had dreams about my dad before I knew I was pregnant with my son. Weird!
I have read that dreams about your father are sometimes an indication that you need advice from somebody older and wiser.

Your deceased dad = support, person you respected.
Seeing your dad in your dream could mean and symbolize what you are looking for in life - support. Projecting him laughing and smiling shows sign of approval that you are looking for. In other words, you may not feel that there are enough people you can turn to and trust. To you, your dad could be one of the persons you want to get advice the most. In translation, you are seeking for some guidance and support and to you, your dad could give you that support and that is why you dreamed about it.

I think you must loved and had been very happy with your late dad before. What has happened to my mom dreamed about her late parents, too. Your are probably talking about sort of souel story where your dad is trying to tell something in your dream. If next time, your father gives you the six numbers in your dream, try to bet on it in lottery, or horse racing.

According to Dreamcrowd:
To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on. If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it. To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams, represents your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them. To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one. See also: Die
The relationship that we have with our mother is the most psychologically significant relationship of all. Rarely all good or all bad, our mothers always invoke powerful emotions. We may dream about our mothers in many different forms. She may be disguised in our dreams, and it is our job to find her in there. If you are dreaming about your mother, you may be addressing some issues or concerns in your dream, or your dream may be based on a valuable memory. The general image of "mother" in a dream may symbolize a variety of feelings and ideas: caring, nurturing, love, acceptance, hard work, sacrifice, martyrdom, etc. The mother in your dream could also represent the "collective unconscious," the source of the "water of life," and the yin. Carl Jung suggests that women in dreams represent our collective unconscious and men the collective consciousness. Thus, the woman is that force, or current, inside of you that nudges you on and inspires you. It is your intuition and the knowledge that in not necessarily attached to words. Men, on the other hand, represent the active part of us that use the information received to create the physical reality of our lives. When the two are working together well, we have balance and experience awareness leading to peace and productivity. See also: Parents

Sometimes our dreams are the best way someone who we loved who has crossed over is able to communicate with us.
Your Father knows you are having a difficult time and is helping you in this manner. He knows you miss him and he misses you too. Your Father is not able to be there for you in this material world, however he is able to be there for you in the spiritual world. He is a Guardian Angel to you now, he watched over you when you were younger and now he is watching over you but in a different manner.
Those who have crossed over have a different way of communicating to us. We just have to slow down and watch and listen for those little signs or sounds.
I had a very good friend who crossed over and her favorite bird is the Robin. Every Spring it seems like I am the first person to see the first Robin every Spring since she crossed over. For some reason Robins flock to my bedroom window and I Bless her and say Thank you.
I was dating a man, she did not like him, how do I know this, he got kicked in the butt and no one was around him. I do not date this man anymore.
Your Father is there for you in your dreams, try to talk to him, and let him know you Love him very much and Thank him for being there for you and helping you.
God Bless
