To take the stone out, cut it in half like a peach or apricot and the use your thumb nail at the stem end to lift it out. I don't know of any shortcut for that step.

All of my recipes keep the skin - they get soft in cooking pies or jams or other desserts. But if you really need the skin off, I would blanche them for about 30 seconds and then peel and then take out the seed. But you're bound to lose alot of the juice and flesh of the plum.

De-stone and skin plums? I bet that is for making a cake, or decorate it. I imagine that pouring hot water with a kettle the skin will weaken, like the tomatoes...but I'm not really sure...
You can cut the plum in two halves and take out the stone...
If it is for eating, wash the plum, eat it , and spit the skin and the stone...;)
Cheers...

Cut plum in half and use a small teaspoon to lever out the stone.
I'm afraid there is no easy way to take the skin off that I know of. (of course if anyone knows different, please feel free to correct me)! I usual start off the peeling process with a sharp knife at the top and just use my fingers to lever off as well as I can.
