Yes. Once you open the packaging, you need to preserve its moisture, aged cheese or not.
If it is a huge ball of cheese, I like to cut it in portions , individually wrap it in aluminum foil into ziplock bags, and freeze it. However, if you are a cheese eating family, it will be gone and consumed in days so dont bother to do that, just put it in the fridge.
