I don't really like Mariah any more, but the voice is good. And, I want my sister here, it doesn't look like her new husband of a very strict religion will even let her come

This is her second husband.
The first one would have had himself, her and my niece and nephew down here in a heartbeat. Haven't even met this guy yet, but he's not what anyone so far calls nice

If you want your sister to sing at your wedding, you certainly have the right to ask her. It's her responsibility to deal with her husband. He certainly doesn't sound like a very nice guy if he would refuse to even let her come to her sister's wedding, let alone sing. Makes me wonder what she ever saw in him, or what religion would forbid the celebration of a wedding, especially in the family?????????

Wow, that's really cool that your sister can sing like Mariah Carey. Since it's your special day, and you don't particularly like Mariah anymore, maybe it's better not to have your sister sing (unless you're on a budget, then sure go ahead). But you should definitely have your sister come because come on, she's your sister. I'm pretty sure her new husband should at least understand the importance of having family there on your wedding day.

If you want your sister there, she should be there. I've been to (and performed in) weddings where friends and family of the couple perform music. It adds a really nice touch to have people that you're close to share the experience through music. So if you like your sister's singing, sure, have her sing. If you don't like Mariah, have her sing something else.
Bottom line is, it's your day. It should go down as you see fit.

Yeah! even you don't like Mariah Carey anymore but think of your wedding people may happy because you have a sister that look like the voice of Mariah Carey they are happy to listen the songs....

Your wedding is important and it is important for your sister to be there wether she sings or not. I would ask her if she would sing at my wedding. What a voice if she sounds like Mariah.

cool she must have a very beautiful voice then. she is a grown woman so ask her and if she says yes then fine. i really dont see what her husband has to do with it seeing that she is an adult. he's married to her...he dont own her after all. if anything he should be more understanding about it. he sounds selfish to me.
