I was dealing with a scam company so I got rid of my old credit card and got a new one. But now my bank is charging me 49.81 because they said that I was credited by my bank and another by the company so I now have an extra amount. I told the lady from the credit card services that I did not see the transaction where I was credited back my money from the company. And she said that I did not see it because the money was credited back to my old credit card which was already cancelled. So what happened to the money, I asked. She mentioned something about bulk money and that I should check my old credit card. She was supposed to send me a paper so I could see where the company gave me my money but so far nothing and it's been at least two almost three weeks. Is it possible to retrieve billing information from my old credit card because I don't see anywhere in my new account that I was credited twice. What should I do?

Don't try to deal with this over the phone. Write a letter. Explain the situation. Tell them you don't understand why they can't take the credit applied to the old account.

I've had disputed charges credited and debited in and out of an account 3 times before it finally got cleared up.
