I think "force" is the key word.
Horrible word choice aside, when I go shopping with my wife we also stop at the knife store and the tool store and she always buys me an ice cream cone.
She'd never embarrass me by asking me to hold her purse or wait for her while she tried stuff on - tho she might drag me into the change booth for a "special viewing."

I hate shopping. I know you don't understand that, but it's true. Maybe you should think about how he could force you to go to a boxing match or a hunting trip or fishing or a strip club or a lecture about the best shortstops in baseball or anything else that guys do that simply revolts you.

I don't know...it shouldn't be possible, but if by some horrible twist of fate you ARE able to force him into going shopping with you, then God will most certainly get you! (LOL)

You can't force him to do anything. But you can pursuade him, maybe by offereing to go to shops that he wants to go to as well as shops that you want.
And of course, you can use the power of what every (attractive) woman has over every man.
You know what I mean!

Maybe look at is as a trade off - if he goes shopping with you, you will do something he likes with him. Go to a sports game, something like that.
It can't all be your way.
