Since he was a lieutenant in the forces of New Zealand and was killed in a battle in Tunisia, I suspect his mortal remains lie in the British Cemetery in Tunis. The link below may allow you to pinpoint his final resting place.

Te Moananui-a-Kiwa Ngarimu VC is buried in the Sfax Cemetery in Tunisia.

also he was only in WWII
