Steroid Hormones or any of a group of hormones that belong to the class of chemical compounds known as steroids; they are secreted by three “steroid glands”—the adrenal CORTEX, TESTES and OVARIES—and during pregnancy by the PLACENTA. All steroid hormones are derived from cholesterol. They are transported through the bloodstream to the cells of various target organs where they carry out the regulation of a wide range of physiological functions.-

Only 2 types of glands: adrenal glands and the gonads. Only the cortices of the adrenal glands (ie. the adrenal cortex) produces steroid hormones. Their medullae produces epinephrine and norepinephrine (sympathetic fight-or-flight response). Back to the adrenal cortex remember that it has three layers or zones, going deeper:
1. Zona glomerulosa (producing mineralocorticoids like aldosterone to increase reabsorption of sodium from kidney - related with blood pressure regulation)
2. Zona fasciculata (producing glucocorticoids like cortisol which is a stress hormone - related with blood glucose level)
3. Zona reticularis (weak androgen, male sex hornmone, like DHEA)
*the deeper you go, the sweeter it gets, go figure *wink*
As for the gonads, the Leydig cells of the testicle produces testosterone while the developing follicle in the ovary produces estrogen and the same follicle ruptures, turning into corpus luteum of the ovary producing progesterone.
So basically, just the adrenal cortices and the gonads.
